The Next Labour Leader

118 members have voted

  1. 1. Who do you want to cunt Cameron in the bastard?

    • Liz Kendall - she invented mintcake.
    • Andy Burnham - such sadness in those eyes
    • Yvette Cooper - uses her maiden name because she doesn't want to be called "I've ate balls"
    • Jeremy Corbyn - substitute geography teacher

But Labour MP Ivan Lewis accused Mr Corbyn of “failing to speak out against people who have engaged in anti-Semitic rhetoric.”

Lord Hattersley told The Telegraph the hard-Left candidate had no right to “impose” his ideology on MPs if he won and urged moderates to continue opposing Mr Corbyn if he becomes leader.

No doubt said without any appreciation of irony whatsoever. What about MP's imposing their views on people voting in the leadership election.

Watson is an absolute shoe-in (about 1/8 at the moment suggesting it's a foregone conclusion).

Don't know much about Eagle or Creasy, although people speak quite highly about their campaigning on some issues.

Ben Bradshaw is a massive fucking cunt, and linked to a load of right wing think tanks.

Flint is the other one, her campaign is funded by people that lobby FOR austerity.

Just seen the Survation poll of a section of the general public that asked which leader would make you most likely to vote Labour at the next election.

Corybyn 32%

Burnham 25%

Kendall 22%

Cooper 20%

Interesting results for someone who we are told is so unelectable...

Not really, it's a loaded question.

You think the question is so loaded that the results of the survey mean absolutely nothing?

Even if you halve all of his scores/percentages it still paints a rather different picture to the one the media and PLP is attempting to paint.

To be honest I partly blame the working class for being fucking idots.

Yes we dont work down the pit or at the docks anymore but we are still on shit wages and could not afford a month off work.

Cheap credit and increased debt has made the working class feel affluent. I can't be working class I own my own home and have an A3.

You owe the ban 150k. There is servitude.

I cannot vote socialist he will take away my hard earned standard of living... You mean debt

Only an idiot could have voted for milliband he completely failed to challenge cameron and most people go with what they know so that cameron got in by default of most people having little incentive to vote for such an appalling dithering blank face mong who sounded like a piglets fart after a long nap.

What do people know of the candidates for the Deputy Leader? I don't know anything about any of them. Does the vote for Deputy matter?

I'll be voting for Tom Watson for some of the work he has done on exposing phone hacking and the support he's given for exposing the paedos in high office. Someone on here mentioned that Dennis Skinner is backing him too.

Which leader would make you more likely to vote labour at the next general election?

I don't see how it's that loaded personally.

I'd assumed, due to Rico's comment, it was something like "Would you be more likely to vote Labour at the next general election if Jeremy Corbyn was the leader?".

So it wasn't actually loaded at all.

The question was not written to determine whether or not corbyn is electable, the conclusion TD drew. It was written to determine who was most popular among labor candidates. To that extent Rico's right.

Have had an email from Ricky Tomlinson asking me to vote for Watson as deputy leader.

Think he's swayed me to be fair, cos I haven't a clue who to vote for on that front. It's like picking the captain of the b-team at school.

Also seen Steve Coogans backing Burnham.
