QPR v Liverpool

Don't think I've ever seen you this angry. Echos what DD has said in fewer words on the MF. I think today has been a case of listening being better than watching. And I'm glad Stevie and Raheem haven't tried to sugar coat it.

I've got a ripped shoulder so I'm not in the best of moods as it is, but really that was absolutely shite.

Rodgers needs to take long hard look at himself

Defense was awful and changing both FBs just too much . Johnson was woeful defensively and Enrique looked extremely rusty . Up front the decision to persist for 90 mins with Balotelli was unbelievable , What does that say to Lambert that a player can be as mind bogglingly shite as that cunt was up front today and he still doesn't get the nod to put in a shift .

Henderson wasn't the worse but we deffo need better than both him and Allen to be honest. He gives his all but he makes too many poor decisions particularly in the final third.

I'm not sure how to sort it out at all. The defence is appalling the midfield light and of course we don't have a strike force. I'd play sterling up front with Couthino or Lallana rather than have the sulking, lazy, slow Mario there. Dreadful game from him. And as for Lovren... Words fail. An awful lot to sort out but as I think Harry himself has possibly said, it's a funny old game.

That game showed us three things -

1. Stevie is much better at DM and shouldn't play as a number 10 anymore, he doesn't have the legs for it.

2. Coutinho should play whenever fit because he's by far our best and most creative left sided player.

3. Balotelli is a not right for us and needs to be dropped.

Seriously, that was possibly the worst I've ever seen us....

For once I agree.  And on top of that, I watched this pile of crap with my American FIL.  He's a big Red Sox fan, being from the area, and I'd been talking us up before the match, FSG and stuff, all that he knows about.  His only comment after the game was "the other team put two shots in their own goal, how's that possible".

Henderson?  you have got to be joking.  Shit all game.  Look at the last 5 minutes.  Sets up Balotelli for a more difficult chance than he would have had for himself, then two minutes later shits out of taking responsibility again and gives the ball away to allow QPR to counter, then gets beaten to a header on the far post and they score.

He was like that all fucking game.

Thought Henderson was the only player other than Mig putting in a shift in the first half. He wasn't as good after the break

Every week I think it can't get any worse but it does.

Ming made some really good saves but also flapped at a couple again- better than normal for him.

We still cannot defend a simple high ball into the box.

We still get outmuscled in midfield.

We still  can't pass to a team mate in the attacking half.

We are still toothless up front. I don't know why we continue to play with one up front (Sterling or Lallana supporting does not count as a second striker). And Balotelli at the moment couldn't hit the proverbial cow's arese with a banjo. Yet the alternatives are worse!

A win, totally undeserved, is still three points, but that was the worst game I have seen us play for about 3 years.

An own goal. It was always going to take an own goal.

Make it two.

We'll still end up conceding.

We will concede again

Knew it

We won but I feel like we lost. Utterly depressing.

I suggest you stop posting in match threads. It will make life easier on all of us.

Three points, get the fuck in!

For me, the big problem in the first half was the complete absence of service from the midfield.  We were getting overrun, and Sterling and Lallana seemed to be the only ones working in the MF.  Gerrard and Balotelli were getting zero ball, and when Balotelli did receive it he did what most of us expect him to do with it.

Playing an unfit Can and a desperately out of form Henderson as a two was an almost schoolyard mistake from Rodgers.  In fact, I don't have a fucking clue what that man is playing at these days.  I'm not sure he does either.

We lucked it out playing without a forward essentially. Rodger's needs to ship Mario out and bring in a proper attacker. Our defense needs better coordination and organization. But I do not see the reason for Johnson's existence. We could do better with Moreno on the left as well. On the positive side, I saw a glimpse of the old Coutinho. Overall, a poor game we should actually have lost but for lady luck.

Coutinho was made to look good (and he did) because the game was stretched, QPR were out on their feet, and they'd lost all discipline.  Apart from the result, and the fact Can and Allen got some minutes, that was a totally miserable performance.

Have a gander again at the game.  Nowhere to be seen in the first 20 minutes.  Then runs from an offside position onto a great ball from Lallana and misses.  Then spends the rest of the first half giving the ball away while offering no resistance in midfield.  Then, as you say, he wasn't as good after the break.
