He says we shouldn't be rushing into a sale of the club just to placate some disgruntled members of the playing staff. It's about getting the decision right for the long-term apparently. Also says Hodgson should be given the same time as the previous managers to work with the team. Can't post as I'm on my phone, sorry.

Does Roy have so many options he doesn't really have a clue which formation to play, which players and in what position? It seems to be the case given we are fluctuating between 4-4-2 and 4-5-1 (4-2-3-1). - Kelly has played right back, centre back and left back this season. - Aurelio has played left back and left midfield. - Meireles has played right mid, centre mid and behind Torres. - Gerrard has played behind Torres and in centre mid. - Cole has played wide right, left and central behind Torres. - Kuyt has played wide right and upfront. - Babel has played upfront and wide left (maybe even wide right?) Now add to the fact Jovanovic is a striker primari…

Roy obviously doesn't want to play him in central midfield, even though it's his best position and we need a good central midfielder who can pass the ball. When we signed him there was a fair bit in the press saying that Porto had been shopping him around as he only had a year left on his contract and wouldn't sign a new one. As a paranoid bastard a paranoid and a bastard I'm starting to wonder whether Roy actually bought him or if this was another "club" purchase on the lines of Joe Cole, as a class player we could get on the relative cheap.

Hodgsons substitutions or rather lack of is something I have noticed and as depressing as it might be, its starting to annoy me more than I think is good for my health already this early in his Liverpool career so I thought I should look into it. Its not like we have played even half decent in any of our games so far so hopefully the pattern that emerges below is no a consequense of Hodgson being happy wih our peformances so far this season or maybe worringly it is? Anyway these are the cold hard facts. Europa League: Rabotnicki away: 72, 83, 83 mins. Rabotnicki home: 62, 67, 73 mins. Trabzonspor home: 45, 73 mins. Trabzonspor away: 77, 86, 90 mins Steua…

Just spoken to my Fulham friend for the first time since Roy Hodgson joined LFC. He said to me you stole our manager to which I said you can have the Aunt back anytime and to use his words its a move that has fucked up both clubs. In his words Hodgson was the master of the 0-0 draw whidh was perfect for Fulham but not for a team like Liverpool and a good cup run like last season was brilliant and got Fulham above where they were before he arrived. However he agreed with me when you have to win a game rather than stop the other team winning its totally different and not a strengh of Hodgson He would have Hodgson back tomorrow because in his words he made a big mist…

Betting Thread : Liverpool v Blackpool (read before betting)

I've added a cash boost for the poor souls that have squandered their cash over the last week or so. Please note you can only bet a maximum of 25 credits on the cash booster and you should only bet on it IF you have 150 or less vcredits to begin win. It will only pay out IF Joe Cole is not substituted during the Blackpool game, if he doesn't start then that means he won't be subbed so the bet will still pay out. If anyone decides to ignore the 25 limit or they use it and they actually have over 150 credits then it will not pay out at all. In which case please see the person that ruined it. Same with private bets, they are not allowed on the cash booster. The…

Not these guys. I remember we had a thread on the GF with some pics and clips, couldn't find it so I'm making my own in here. This is just crazy, but I would probably have done it for £10m if they asked politely.

I'm starting a new thread on Roy. I've been sitting and thinking about the current situation and how it's already splitting into sides on the FF, and it will be far more a reasonable debate on the MF, even though there will be some boss posters missing out because they are not season ticket holders. The debate about Roy seems to building up some strong concerns to some. I've seen a few things that have made want to answer with my own feelings. And as they are specific questions, then hopefully it should come across in the right way. So here goes... 1. He's got 30 years experience. Roy's been in the game for a long time, and will have a vast amount o…

I don't want to look back on the Sunderland game so it's on to the next game in the Europa League, which kicks off at 6pm on Thursday and is on ITV4. I see from the official site that Kuyt, Torres and Meireles could all feature. I would expect us to play a stronger team than in most of the european games so far this season as it's a slightly different test and I think the Northampton debacle may have made Hodgson a bit reluctant to weaknen the side. I think the first team also need a win under their belts and we shouldn't be worrying too much about a hangover for the weekend's game. I know little about Utrecht other than their win over Celtic so I expect the …

Given time, Roy will work his wonders (Patrick Barclay, Times) When no approach came from the England frying-pan, Roy Hodgson leapt into the Liverpool fire. And in the twelfth week of his management, much of it barely active because of a summer break staggered by some players’ involvement in the World Cup, the flames grew in intensity, despite all the rain that fell on Anfield during the Carling Cup defeat by Northampton Town. The crowd were about as happy as you would expect and criticism extended to Hodgson, who was accused of picking too weak a team and, less reasonably, of staying in the dugout too long, in other words not getting off his seat and flailing his ar…

Bought on by AWS post in the Hodgson problem thread and our ex managers inspirational interview yesterday. So your sunday poser is if you had to make a straight choice of having Houllier back tomorrow or keeping Roy Hodgson what would it be?

Is it a coincidence that the FF has gone to complete shit since the likes of these chaps were banned? Just a thought but wasn't having nutjobs like them around akin to letting loose a rabid staffy into a barrel full of rats? Ok, maybe Momo's a bad example considering his epic 'outing' and his multiple personalities but you get my drift. Better the devil you know?

My subscription to TLW ends on Sunday and I don't get paid until monday to renew. This means that potentially for 24-48 hours you will all be without my pearls of wisdom, witty comments and controversial comments on Fellani. I'm giving you this notice so you can inform your families why you're crying inconsolably over the weekend playing Days by the Kinks It's gonna be tough guys but you'll have to be brave.

He's too similar to Rafa. We needed a change, we got one but its not different enough. Obviously they'll have different ideas etc but their mentality is pretty much the same. I thought any reasonably decent manager would be capable of getting the players out of their current malaise. Last November i suggested on here Roy as a potential candidate. I like Roy, despite my recent comments about him I still like him, he's a good manager but I worry that he's too similar to Rafa and Ged before. Maybe it'll take time and i'm jumping the gun here but this is my gut feeling. Are the players hearing and doing the same shit in training thats it not having an effect on th…
