When I'm not slurping on a nice glass of weissbier or a big fat shiraz I'm usually never far from a glass of no added sugar Ribena. However, I had a nicely chilled bottle of this earlier.

Grape, Strawberry and Kiwi juice from The Asda. Magnificent stuff. All squeezed juice, no concentrate ingredients.

I've also got a bottle of Cherry Pepsi Max in the fridge which I've just discovered they make and may lace with a cheeky vodka later.

Been using the stuff for years.... make my wife's wine with the stuff. (rose wine) Really nice stuff.

When i was into fizzy drinks i liked Lilt (do they still do that?), drink a third of it, top up with Vodka and away you go.

Yeh, me too, probs cos Lilt was never really all that fizzy.

Not big on fizzy shit tbh.

I like Oasis Citrus Punch and vodka, that is fuckin lush.

Haven't, but it doesn't matter as long as it 100% fruit juice.

Hardware

2 demi John''s (or plastic 1 gallon containers (Asda water bottles;)) (£2)

Funnel (£1)

air lock & rubber (£1.75) wilko's

Syphoning tube (£2.50)

Sterilizing fluid (£1)

To make 1 gallon

I use 2.5 litres (1 litre of which is 100% grape red or white juice) & 2 litre of water.

750g Sugar

1 Dsp Pectolase/Pectic Enzyme

½ Tsp Young Super Wine Yeast Compound (7.5g)

1 Dsp Nutrient (10g)

¼ Tsp citric Acid (optional)

½ Tsp Tannin (or half cup of very strong tea)

Racking

¼ Tsp potassium sorbate (Stabilizer)

1 Campton table (crushed) Or (½ Gram of Potassium metabisulfite)

That give me 4.5 LTs @ 13% AVB.

You will get most of Enzyme/chemicals etc.. from Wilko's or ebay.

Best thing i did in a long time..... :)

I shall have to try that as it sounds nice. Vodka and bitter lemon is also a decent mix.

Just rediscovered a bottle of aniseed syrup in the back of the cupboard, brought back from a trip to France. Fantastic with sparkling water

Sou're such a health freak. Put some vodka in it like a normal person would.

Ginger Beer.

I started making my own as it costs a bloody fortune here and it is fantastic and really easy to make.

Spill the beans then.

I'm really not.....this is a Soft Drinks thread. I was just sharing my lunch-time discovery

Home-made ginger beer is a great shout. Used to make it years ago. RiS, if you post your recipe I might be tempted to give it a go again

Home-made lemonade

Make syrup in advance by adding 70g is sugar to every 100g of boiling water and let cool

Get a big jug and fill about a sixth of it with the syrup

Juice half a lemon and chop the other half up and add to jug

Put a load of ice in jug

Fill rest of jug up with sparkling water

Delicious

You can play with the amounts of syrup and lemon to get it just how you like it. Adding a bit of orange can make a nice change.

Interested in how to make home-made ginger beer if RiS can share the recipe

Have discovered non alcoholic mojita. Fantastic and so refreshing in the heat

Are you going to share it then?

I love limes

Can't drink fizzy drinks anymore, along with white bread they turn my stomach and give me wind.

Generally stick with fruit juice and squash with either carbonated or water out the freezer.
