Of course Hamez went there for his love of County Road and the scenery.

I was just about to post something also suitably sarcastic.

We’ve signed a player who was just MOTM in the CL Final, they’ve signed somebody who has been MIA for 5/6 years.

So is he saying The bitters don't pay Agents fees or is that just Redshite behaviour

Basically on planet blueshite they just shift the goalposts to suit whatever agenda they have that day and completely ignore what they've said or done before.

I genuinely can't recall a thing Hamez has done in the last six years, even before that volley in the world cup there's not exactly a long show reel of world class moments.

When he bounced between Porto, Monaco and then Real he was classed as a great player without doing anything amazing. As soon as he signed for Real Madrid and then got shifted off to Bayern he seems to have either been injured or missing in games for that long the managers gave up on him.

Yet all of a sudden he's going to take the piss out of the Premier League despite it being a much more physical league than any of the ones he's played in and that he isnt that durable.

I like deluded rival fans when we win stuff, it's comical, but this is actually a bit infuriating. Thiago won the Champions League last season playing brilliant football. Meanwhile James was rotting in the reserves. Like this isn't even funny, it's so wrong, it's just sad.

James is a shot in the dark that might work, Thiago is a world class player.

Why on Earth would you find this infuriating? It's the twisted, deluded opinion of an absolute no-mark blert. His views among the sheep he bleats to on GOT may have some weight, but to anyone else, the only reasonable reaction is to laugh your bollocks off, not to get wound up in the slightest.

Isn’t that just sending him from one person with depression to thirty thousand of them?

Yeah, but it puts everything into perspective for him and makes his home life seem a lot smoother than it did before.

Can’t understand why they’d be pissed off by Thiago other than the rash of articles yesterday saying how brilliant he is. They’ve still done good business.

Because we have signed a genuine world class player. regardless of their business, us signing Thiago rams it home how far behind us they are. 'levels' and all that.

Everything is relative to us, so them having still done good business does not matter.

That for me is the biggest barrier to their progression, they need to focus solely on themselves and what they are doing but they just can't help but focus more on us and it is fucking them up. Long may it continue.

They were made up because they thought they'd bought a Bentley. Then we turn up in our new Rolls Royce.

They have bought a Bentley. A David Bentley. Superstar as a young player then did fuck all for years.

Their sponsor has agreed to pay £1000 for every goal they score this season to their club charity. Decent bit of PR for about £50k.

Greedy twats. Could have made it every goal conceded.

GOTs number one free thinker in fine form today.

catcherintherye

Player Valuation: £70m

the bigger question on that deal is the valuation on Hoever - £10 million is ludicrous for an 18 year old who has played four times

I wonder who Hoevers agent is (or rather, who his agent will be in a month)?
A couple of things. Firstly the two deals seem high to me and linked (smart for FFP).

Secondly, Liverpool probably have a hefty sell on fee to pay (like 25%) and it will be heavily incentivised. There will also big a big agents fee.

It wouldn't surprise me of the 10m
5m down
2.5m to the previous team
1m for the agent.

Esentially they take 1.5m guarenteed, and some bits and bobs on milestones that never get met. It won't stop net spend FC counting it as 10m though, and then getting angry when they seemingly don't spend money.
