I still can't believe that we're not trying to hijack Jeffren to Bolton. We inquired about him at the start of the summer, and was told that he only wanted CL Football. That low price tag should have restarted our interest.

€6m looks like good value for Jeffren, and if we were ever interested in him, now would be the time to sign him. If he joined a lesser club and did well, his value would skyrocket and we'd then be quoted £20m+. He would need to have a similar impact to Luis Garcia.

I don't get the question the bloke is posing.

 

If it were true and he chose City over us, he would be going there for the money? They are playing in the CL, have a better squad than us right now and are more likely to win trophies right now. Both money and football reasons point towards City.

 

Besides, I think we could spend £45m - or whatever he'll go for - and strengthen the team far more than lumping it all on one striker.

I can see us buying another striker. At the mo I don't want any gulfs in class between whats on the pitch and whats on the bench. If we got someone in the Higuin/Augero class then teams would shit in their pants before we even stepped on the pitch. I can only dream of us getting one of them another winger, Hummels type defender and a left back. If not now I can see us definetely opening the cheque book again in January
