Yeah, seeing 'Music Sounds Better With You' being referred to as a classic from yesteryear breaks my heart. I still listen to that song all the time. It's not from yesteryear and I'm still in my youth!

Facebook has allot to answer for when making you feel old.

there was a young girl a few (3) of years older then my daughter who used to come around to my house of a morning to have her hair braided for school. Fine and dandy.

She passed her driving test the other week; i'm feeling a little old.

Her relationship status has changed, she's now seeing a cousin of mine (welsh version, thus 2nd cousin) who used to sit on my knee as a baby.

Her update was "I'm looking forward to staying at ******* tonight" the fuck??

She's far to young for that shit.

(I was pregnant at her age)

When you realise that you hate everybody younger than you because they act like cunts, do stupid young people things, dress appallingly, speak in their own language, shag like crazy, have bundles of energy and basically remind you of all the things you could have done when you were their age, invoking huge amounts of jealousy and resentment whilst also insisting that "we did it better than they do" and "they don't know they're born".

And when you start to hate everybody older than you for doing old people things, speaking in their own language and talking about inconsequential shite constantly, dressing in grey and beige, losing their eyesight, developing curves and hair in the wrong places and just being old, which serves to remind you that this is what you're turning into - and it's fucking horrible.

I've also noticed that I've really started to get irritated by my dad when I see him because I've realised that I'm turning into him more and more everyday and it scares me. It's often said that you dislike people because they remind you of yourself, and it's true.

When RobbieOr informs you that you are twice his age.

I was having a pint with my Uncle the other day and he said something along those lines.

You're 22? You old bastard!

I'm guessing maths wasnt your strongest subject?

I know what I'm going to say MENTIONS footie - but it's in a context of how it makes me feel SO old now so bear with me please;

You KNOW you're getting old when; You talk to younger friends about football/music etc and realise that A:) the good old days to them were when Utd were STARTING their successful era (like no-one remembers us/what we were at ALL in the 80's and the VERY start of the 90's) and thus ALL they remember is Taggart hoovering up trophies non-stop along with;

B:) When some of your favourite musical artists are so old now that they earn a living as song WRITERS/Producers and have god knows how many kids when it seems like only yesterday that THEY and YOU were the fresh faced kids with bundles of energy burning and shagging your way around the world and generally annoying the heck out of those known as 'your elders'.

Also when as I did the other day you speak to a young lass on Facebook - realise it was someone who was only 16 or so when you LAST saw her (and I was just 19) and then look at both your ages realise SHE'S 26 nearly 27 and you're 31 whilst you BOTH have children!!! THAT is scary.
