Jakub Blaszczykowski, the Poland winger, wants to move to Liverpool in an £8 million deal, but Borussia Dortmund are refusing to sell. Blaszczykowski, 22, who missed Euro 2008 because of a hamstring injury, could replace Yossi Benayoun at Anfield. AS Roma are trying to sign the Israel midfield player.

I've never heard of the lad but I don't want him. The reason I don't want him is quite simple, I'm a lazy bastard and that name looks like to much hard work. It would take a certain amount of effort to pronounce and even more to spell.

I predict his career will never take off due to his stupid name and suggest he changes it something shorter like Jake Blaski.

You could shelter under the 'B' or the 'I' on the ends of the shirt, they're bound to be hanging off.

True. I think the challenge of spelling his name will scare off drunken online criticism. He'll be untouchable regardless of how he performs. Great move for the lad.
