They're portraying it as if it's all scroungers, even though it includes state pensions, NHS treatment and free school meals; not to mention benefits to cover low pay and housing benefits, which subsidise skinflint employers and overcharging landlords, respectively, many of whom will be in that top 10%.

There's just something - I can't quite figure out what - about the victims of violence in Ukraine that makes them deserving of our compassion, while victims of violence in the Middle East and Africa aren't.
