I hope this is the end of this corrupt bastard's interest in anything to do with football.

Thailand freezes Thaksin's assets

Mr Thaksin was driven from office in a bloodless coup last year

Bank accounts belonging to Thailand's billionaire former Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, have been frozen, the government has announced.

A committee investigating claims of corruption during Mr Thaksin's era said it had ordered accounts worth 52.9bn baht ($1.63bn, £830m) to be frozen.

Mr Thaksin has been under investigation since his ousting in a coup last year.

The bastards. The least they could have done was give him time to get round to buying Everton before freezing his cash.

How much would that have ruled?Especially if there had been a few weeks of wild speculation on bluekipper about them signing Ronaldinho.

Edit: Just heard that it was just his accounts that were frozen. he has a couple of hundred in his wallet and is planning a bid for Everton anyway.

There'll be a prize for the first one to work out how, if he'd bought them and then had his assets frozen, it would have been our fault.

Because if we'd let him just buy us, he never would have turned up on their doorstep. What do I get?

Oh dear, the ongoing grisly spectacle that is Manchester City's takeover bid hits the buffers yet again.

Will anyone ever buy City?

Will they appoint a new manager before the start of the season?

Will they ever score a home goal again?

Tune in next week for more exciting developments.
