He's a good player, but I don't think he'd suit us, just looks a more expensive Benteke for me.

I mean...no. Fuck, no.

A rangier, harder working, Drogba.

Benteke used to just jog around gently, avoiding play as much as possible. He was one of the meekest professional footballers of all time. Osimhen is an absolute nightmare for centrebacks.

I just don't see him as a Premier League player mate. He'll die on his arse if he comes here.

Why?

Big, strong, works hard. Can play the ball into his feet, in behind, or in the air. He couldn't possibly be any more suited to the league.

He'll go to Real Madrid though. We can't afford him, and he wouldn't suit City's style of football.

Although I would like to see us address the whole left by Matip, ultimately as we’ve seen before, if it’s a choice between signing 2nd choice in January or 1st choice in the summer, we’ll won’t be signing anybody in January.

Hope I’m wrong though.

What would he cost if we signed him on a bosman? I'm right in thinking, out of contract, youth international transfers within uefa have a set tarrif? 26m seems mental. Seems more likely we'd sign him on a pre-contract and offered them 10-20% more than the summer tarrif to do the deal now..

Seeing talk that Arsenal supporters want Ivan Toney in January to spear head their attack.

Have I missed the memo here that Toney is some world class striker?

He decent but there are much better out there. I’m not sure how much better he is than Nketiah. If they are going to be feeding him as many scraps as they would have done the last few games, I suspect he’ll be equally ineffective.

9 months out, about to turn 28 in March, never played in Europe, 1 England cap…. He has a flop of Benteke proportions written all over him.
