Do you (or have you ever) smoked cigarettes?

Smoked Camel once (and only once). Thought my head had caught fire.

Cigarella were bad. Like a ciggy but with cigar tobacco.

I was about 13 and my mates brother had some. Lit one up took a drag, thought I was going to die.

The one and only time I tried one of those things.

I feel like smoking again just to do something. Lockdown shite.

You need something to take your mind off it.

I suggest wanking.

I miss getting stoned. Only problem is you have to regularly smoke weed to be able really enjoy it. If I had a joint now I wouldn’t be able to leave the house. Back in my student days I’d go to the match stoned, do my shopping stoned and go to the pub stoned.

Packed in at Christmas 2006, had a viral infection and felt fucking rubbish and made them taste like shit.  I've still got the packet (Regal nonce alert!) with eight still left in it.  Had a couple of spliffs over the years and still have the occasional cigar when on holiday.

I used like the first one of the day, those days are over. There's no way I could sit round someone's house listening to sounds smoking pot from a bong like you used to do either.

Nothing like a good solid weed habit. I used to walk to work at an office and I'd smoke a j on the way. There were others there who would have a smoke at lunchtime, but I wasn't as hardcore as that. This was twenty years ago, like.

I'd been given up a while when I had a few puffs of a joint about ten years ago. Had a good giggle at first but just ended up feeling like shit so I reckon there's some truth to what you say about being a regular user.

Started on spliffs at 15, gave up the tobacco at 40.  Mally lights were my go to until my mate put me on to American Spirit rolling tobacco in my early 20s. Ay caramba! What a revelation. There is no finer shop-bought smoke than fresh American Spirit rolled in a liquorice Rizla. I do miss the ritual of rolling one up.

Seen loads of student types (girls mostly)? Smurkin' tabs these days. Dunno if it's  Covid/ lockdown thing?

I'm from Hawick in The Borders but lived in Edinburgh for 23 years (just moved to Musselburgh) & met all sorts.

I've not really got any time for smackheads but no problem with people who have kicked it. I would never go near the fucking stuff myself.

Ah ok.

Most ones I see (I work in a college) are smoking roll ups.

The only place I ever managed to get hold of charas was Glastonbury. Bloody nice smoke though.

was getting it all last year, very nice stuff but then the boarders get tighter with brexit and the big encrochat busts have meant only very limited good stuff here so v pricey if you find something. Though oddly shipments of thai and alledged jamaican weed ive seen a plenty..

someone said most the good hash came via an irish expat that was in the dodgey phone game so has been absent...

I don't smoke any more, but I believe hash/resin isn't all that popular here in NZ owing to the fact that some of the finest green in the world is grown here. Something about optimum growing conditions or something.

Same here, I smoked weed for quite a while and spent some time in Australia and New Zealand. The green there was boss but I couldn't possibly smoke it now. It would play havoc with what is left of my brain.

Smoking and drinking in the bath? That's something Rigby would do.

Rigsby (I presume) was generally a scruffy, penny pinching, landlord who did things mainly to impress, I can’t see him smoking cigars in the bath - maybe some of the landlords on here would disagree.

Colt Seaver’s on the other hand was a cool motherfucker who falls from tall buildings, rolls brand new cars and is a bounty hunter on the side with Heather Thomas tagging along.

And he smoked cigars in the bath.

and so did I, so fuck you.

    • Jesus, shifting blame?   It was something that annoyed me during the game, as a midfielder you would think Hendo would be able to perform this exact part of a CB’s game a bit better, Matip would do it and Van Dijk would do it. Gomez not so much, he lack the skill to do it.
Go back to Liverpool-Chelsea game in 13/14, everyone blame Gertard for slipping, I did not. I pointed at Sakho, simply because he should have brought the ball with him 3-4 m forward into open space and by that bypassed  Chelsea’s first line.   Again, at the time I said Agger would do that, now I say that both Van Dijk and Matip would do that instead of playing it back to Alisson as much as Hendo did. By doing that we outnumber the opposition, by doing what Hendo did, we give them time to organize and get everyone behind the ball.   Like I said, Hendo did his job defensively, but there are a lot more to football than what you actually watch happening in front of you.   Maybe I put too much expectations on him because he’s a midfielder, but this is certainly the standard we need.

    • Pretty much nonsense. I agree that a lot of footballers have nipped off to Dubai in the last few months(VVD is ther currently,or has been recently hasn't he?) But he is a long term injury so is training alone. Leaving your country for anything other than a competitive match, and I am dead set against even that personally,is just pure stupidity. It has nothing to do with politics and even a moron should know this.  Sounds like a desparate man trying to deflect attention from the shitty job he is doing.
    • This. Not like Code to be contrary and shift the blame from our woeful forwards to a man who has shown leadership by filling in a vital position for the good of the team at his own expense! If you want to blame Hendo then it's Klopp who must take that bullet.
    • The weird thing with Firmino is at his best he was unlauded (17/18), then he was hyped up more & more as he began to wane which reached a peak late last season and has just continued now. Its always been very after-the-fact on Firmino. This makes interesting reading: https://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/index.php?/forums/topic/114625-who-is-the-most-important-of-our-front-three/&   There have been false starts where he's looked like getting back into form (Palace recently; late Dec / early Jan last season when back from Qatar) but overall he's been relatively poor for going on 2 years. I use the word relatively; he's still a good individual player, but has never been in Mane/Salah's stratosphere. He's been a very important component of the team but not one to carry it on his back. When we're at a low ebb, like now, its more evident because he relies on the system to be at his best. Statistically there's not too much different between now and the last 3 seasons. We've just lost a lot of luster in other areas of the field at the moment.
    • Oh and forgot to add Messi and Sergio Ramos are both coming on bosman deals too   Might let Milner go to balance the books
