Went into town to see the lad and the dog earlier. Waited outside Princes Park and watched them come past. The dog was first and it stops and goes over to the kids every hundred yards or so and they can stroke him. Then the lad behind (who looks like Sadio Mane by the way) and its fucking boss. Brilliant for the city.

 

Walked down Hardman street earlier walking up and their was a car with a fork stuck in the roof. A big giant one. Thought it looked a bit sinister to be fair. Same as the arriva bus outside lime st carved in half with a knife sticking out of it.

Seriously though, the looks on all the kids faces when they see the giants, is worth it all for that alone.

Don't wanna piss on chips but the chaos this has all caused has taken the absolute piss. 

 

Schools closed (er what?) train stations closed. Queues a quarter of a mile long to get into lime street and central. Fucking crazy.

 

No free events are pleasant any more. That goes for things like bommy night and tall ships and stuff too. Just overly busy and rammed with people, 75% of whom don't have any genuine interest in it but are just harvesting pictures and videos for Facebook likes.

I went yesterday. Was standing by the church street McDonald’s and was waiting for them to come past. Could hear the music getting closer and then I seen the biggest one come past the building. Made me feel proper weird. The French guy talking and the crazy music being played live on the float behind it. It felt like magic. It stood there looking around for about 10 mins and it was awesome!
