Enjoyed it in the main, even the close games have at least had some intrigue and there haven't been many total mismatches. Today's been shite though (missed the first game).  Next round of games is going to be rough as there will be a lot of dead rubbers as well.

A wonderful half showcasing the art of kicking and stamping, with both sides at it from the off. I genuinely don't think I've ever seen so many straight red card offences go unpunished in a single match, let alone a single half.

 

A half that also was a microcosm of Dejan Lovren's career. Excellent for most of it, but still exhibiting a brain fart which almost cost Croatia a goal.

I'm surprised at the number of people who are saying it's been good. For me, it's been shite. almost every game is low scoring, the football has been negative, none of the top teams have done anything of note, apart from Ronaldo none of the top players have shone. VAR has not helped, but the players are the biggest culprits in this poor tournament, the amount of diving and play acting has been shocking. Rubbish tournament so far, can only hope things get a bit more interesting in the knock out stage.

Its been a pretty dull affair but once it's knockout, it gets interesting.
