Is it just me that's really pissed off by that? Why the fuck is the pointless fucking wreck still here stealing a living?

Could be a blessing, hopefully.  It's a timely and not too subtle reminder of the frailty of our squad after Lallana's "two signings" comment (which looks daft in hindsight) while there is still time to do something about it.

Can't believe the negative comments bout Sturridge. Do people think he wants to be fucking injured? According to all and sundry within the club, he was flying fit, the best since klopp took over. How's it his fault that his body just won't let him take the stress? Seriously, some people would want their heads wobbled.

On a positive note it will save FSG signing anyone when he is due back in January.

On a serious note though I hope it's nothing, he has been a bit of a fanny in the past but he seems to have realised he is no longer the main striker and he is going to have to knucke down and work hard and he did seem to be doing that

Who could have seen it coming?

It isn't his fault...but we also have to be hard about it and not allow it to be our problem.

We can't afford to have him eating up 150k a week and never being fit especially given how thin our squad is.

It may be a blessing him breaking now as it may kickstart us into action in replacing him....one thing we know for certain is he will be missing when we need him.

Shame and not his fault...but we can't carry him.

Thoroughly enjoyed that, man we are good when pace is added, especially with Firminio drops deeper to win the ball back. Mane, Salah, Coutinho and Firminho are going to fuck some teams this season. Even when teams park the bus I feel that with mane and Salah we have the players with trickery to get in against them. TAA was fucking excellent, as was Moreno strangely enough. Lovely goal by Sturridge before he broke himself again. Might force us into the market for another striker, so could be a blessing in disguise. Solanke is young and we can't rely on Divoc imo.

Also glad we bummed Bayern in their own tournament on their patch, they are the Mancs of Germany, fucking hate the Southern German cock wombles.

Looking forward to tomorrow's game as they'll sit deeper and defend well, a totally different test.

Result and performances wise this has to be our best pre-season in ages, amazing what a proper manager brings.

Very good first half, and very solid in the second. Bayern never got going and didn't start with the likes of Robben and Vidal but they still had a strong side out there. It seems like we don't have a mental block when playing the biggest sides. The real test as ever will be in trying to break down teams that sit deep and put everybody behind the ball, looking to counter.

It took a while before it became apparent that Grujic's goal was ruled out. TV viewers have to watch replays so can't see what happened next but surely the commentators would have seen if Bayern had kicked off again or just taken a free kick in their own penalty box.

What can you say about Sturridge? Excellent finish for his goal but he tweaked yet another muscle in the process. I think he chose that shot option because he'd felt something give way. Pretty much any other player and you'd assume that at worst, they'd miss a month. With Daniel, it's not far fetched to think he'll not be back until 2018.

Not sure who schedules the fixtures to take place on consecutive days. We play Atletico tomorrow night at the same time.

Only positive aspect about the Sturridge injury is that this shows Klopp how brittle he is and that we sorely need a striker signed this summer. Also there's some time left to find someone decent.

Klopp would have known that a very long time ago.

The simple answer is no one will take Sturridge and we're going to roll with Firmino, Solanke and Origi.
