There's nothing to stop Leipzig giving him a fat payrise and upping his buyout clause to say 70million euros. Then bung his agent a juicy renewal fee.

If he wants to leave and they won't let him I can't see him signing a new deal (I know Suarez did when he was here) at £48m next year he'll have the pick of the clubs, some might baulk at £70m and not bother so why risk it when it's a sure thing that he'll be available at what could be by next year a bargain £48m.

 

If he's so intent on leaving the directors could have seriously pissed him and his agent off and they might completely cut off all forms of contact, similarly to what Sterling and his rat like agent did to us.
