Wijnaldum might push up into a more attacking role if Mane doesn't play as he's the other player we have after Mane with pace.

Said before last week's game that I'd have taken 6 points from our first 3 games happily, so win this one and then next week's game at White Hart Lane is a bonus.  I mean, of course I'd like to win it but my point is that we'll be ahead of the game so we need to win this one to keep pace.

 

Of course, typical Liverpool would be to go out and dominate the first half without scoring, then concede a goal early in the second and collapse.  I think we'll find out a lot about the character of this side if and when Burnley get a sustained 5 or 10 minutes of pressure, as they surely will at some point.

 

Assuming Can is fit and Mane's not, I think we'll see the following:

I'd be very surprised if Klopp benches Moreno after that press conference.  Also, Burnley away would seem to be a tailor-made fixture for his style of play, such as it were.

Henderson will play. He's the captain snd we need his energy in the midfield. I think the same team with possibly Origi for Mane and possibly Coutinho for another midfielder after his cramp issue. Think he'll keep Moreno in to make a point and maybe bring Milner in a week after. He wont want to fuck his confidence
