A typical game at Anfield against a Steve Bruce team involves us struggling to get out of 3rd gear but taking the lead at some point before the 70th minute. We then create a couple of half-chances which are still better than anything Steve Bruce's side have managed all day. We then get a soft corner or free kick given against us by the referee (who will usually be Lee Mason, Kevin Friend or Nosferatu) and then give away an entirely avoidable yet scrappy equaliser. We will then proceed to labour in vain to score another goal.  Final score: 1-1. Meanwhile, that same Steve Bruce will chose to rest one of his better performers in a match at Old Trafford and have his team go into the half time break 3-0 down to a Man Utd side who haven't got out of 2nd gear, with one of the goals scored by a teenage debutant with a shit haircut. That last one probably wouldn't happen under Mourinho mind you.
