Does Klopp deserve a shot at the Liverpool job?

I see your confidence is waning...

I don't like the way BRs staff have been kicked out, that's not a good sign for me although we shall see how BR gets along with the new staff.

He will be here next season unless he quits but these sackings have undermined him unless he really is a part of the decision, credit will go to new staff and BR gets the blame if things don't go right.

If he gets along with them and things go well it could work out ok but I don't like it, it will be very interesting to see who comes in and what BR has to say about what's happened.

Well watford have just unveiled a more decorated coach than we have got who has won the europa league and stuff so its not that hard to do better.

A manager who has managed clubs in similar situations to clubs as us in their league and didn't have one season as good as BRs second, no thanks and there's a reason he's going to Watford.

Sounds like Klopp wants the job, unless he is eying up Newcastle.

Klopp's agent - "PL is exciting. We do not think about the top four, there are some other great clubs below them".

That's likely yes. Bu I guess even Rodgers would have preferred any kind of statement of confidence regarding the turmoils behind the scenes in the latest days.

Come and get me-quotes from Klopp's agent surely doesn't help anyone.

We as fans would have been better off with any kind of short statement instead of these rapid and boring leaks through the media.

Agree?

Rodgers is staying, Klopp is having a sabbatical of his own like Guardiola for at least a season.

There really isn't any manager we'll be satisfied and who is available for us to hire right now. Stick with Rodgers, hope Klopp decides to come to us next season, and the replacements shall start only then.

Well if that's the real opinion from Klopp then we should end this torture now and go and get him. He's basically giving FSG exactly what they want. If ever there was a 'come and get me' that's one right there.

They've dispensed with the services of Marsh and Pascoe, we can only assume the transfer committee will take a hit too. So why not just scrap them all, they're doing a shit enough job to warrant the boot.

Get Klopp in, get the DoF he wants to work with and let's get this football club back on the road. This is the time to do it, not limp on through the summer and winter and end up with a caretaker manager.

He's definitely going to Everton, then. So I took the liberty of decoding the subliminal messages

“He has the great ability to develop things [at the School of Science]. If he goes into a stadium, feels the energy and thinks that he can make a difference here [at Goodison], this could be more attractive to him than going with the big deals [Kenwright likes] and aim for the treble [barca suck].”

If the club can buy players just because the computer spreadsheet says yes then I think fans can stick to basics too. Adding context is too confusing and not necessary.

If only the 'fans' would stick to the basics instead of the incessant need to exaggerate every concern they have.

Why would your first hope be that Rogers fails?

Not that I subscribe to that line of thinking but short term pain for long term gain I'd guess. People have seen what Rodgers is capable of achieving then seen how he builds on that success and maybe they'd rather have a manager with a proven record of building on success.

Imagine Jurgen Klopp being available and willing to come to manage LFC after that degrading season just gone and keeping Brendan Rodgers instead of employing him. Just imagine the state of that.

There's no need to imagine it. Because we're actually doing it!
