I have two spares to this game in case anyone is interested. My brother is going over for the Everton game so they can be picked up Saturday or Sunday somewhere.

Anyone got two eligible fancards that I can borrow? Or in an ideal world, two tickets together that aren't needed. A few beverages will be included on the day as a thank you.....

Liverpool sack Hodgson as King Kenny returns - Premier League, Soccer - Independent.ie Liverpool sack Hodgson as King Kenny returns Sunday January 09 2011 Roy Hodgson was finally removed as Liverpool manager yesterday. The club owners FSG acted after a strange period of inactivity in the days following Liverpool's latest defeat, away at Blackburn last Wednesday. "Both parties thought it in the best interests of the club that he stand down," said American co-owner John W Henry in a statement on the club's website. Hodgson was no longer the lightning rod for supporters' dissatisfaction and the longer he remained in the job, the more questions were being a…

first off, i have to admit, im absolutely overjoyed with Kenny getting the job, and im possibly even happier, because its the Hodge that got the sack for Kenny to take off. now enough of all that i was only 8 the last time we won the league, so even though i remember us winning, the complicated issues such as formations and approach went over my wee little head so what kind of formation can we expect from the King tomorrow, well not so much tomorrow, but in the coming months i was looking at some old dvds earlier, and am i right in thinking during his reign, when Rushy left we played a 4-3-3 with aldo, barnes and beardsley playing in a 3 pronged attack? …

Obviously he is Scottish, but... First of all you senile twat, you got into it when you made the comment about it. Second, fuck off and mind your own business! Source: Roy Hodgson draws ever closer to being sacked as Liverpool manager | Football | The Guardian

He's too similar to Rafa. We needed a change, we got one but its not different enough. Obviously they'll have different ideas etc but their mentality is pretty much the same. I thought any reasonably decent manager would be capable of getting the players out of their current malaise. Last November i suggested on here Roy as a potential candidate. I like Roy, despite my recent comments about him I still like him, he's a good manager but I worry that he's too similar to Rafa and Ged before. Maybe it'll take time and i'm jumping the gun here but this is my gut feeling. Are the players hearing and doing the same shit in training thats it not having an effect on th…

Although it's a different Roy... Keane sacked by Ipswich Town Friday, 7 January 2011 00:44 RTÉ understands that Roy Keane's tenure as Ipswich Town manager has come to an end after a torrid twenty months in charge of the Championship side. News of his dismissal was reportedly delivered to the former Manchester United and Republic of Ireland captain by chief executive Simon Clegg after a meeting with ambitious owner Marcus Evans. The Tractor Boys battled relegation for much of last season and currently languish in 19th place in English football's second tier, just three points above the relegation zone. The beleaguered Suffolk club now face a dauntin…

I want him gone like any other red, but the way he handled the Agger question in this clip is fucking brilliant. Too bad he can't answer like this all the time.

It's a bit of a gripe of mine this. Why hasn't there been a song for Roy yet? Fair enough people have their doubts, and I have a few of my own. But previous managers in my memory have never had to wait this long for a song on the Kop. I remember travelling to Wrexham for Rafa's first ever game and hearingthe rousing rendition of his song. I tried to get a few started in the Europa League 1st round, but no one was having it. I know people have doubts, but he's turned around a desperate situation. Thoughts...

I don't think I've ever been as miserable about Liverpool as I am right now. Losing to the Mancs has become a regular occurrence and gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach for at least a week, but this? This goes way lower. As if things couldn't get worse, those lot are romping off into the distance whilst all around them crumble. I don't know what's happened to my beautiful club. I think the seeds of the deterioration were sown in the Evans/Houllier debacle and despite a few silver linings, the storm clouds have been on the increase. Right now we're in a hurricane. The only questions are how long the hurricane will last and what sort of devastation will tak…

This is now the big question for me. Coyle, appears to be the best realistic contender domestically having guided Burnley to promotion and to a respectable league position in the Premiership before quitting for Bolton. With Bolton he has guided them to 6th place with the same players he inherited and has introduced effective attacking football, they have currently scored 32 goals this season, behind Man Utd and Arsenal (39 goals) and a single goal behind Chelsea (33 goals). In his relatively short management career to date he has already beaten Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs in a mixture of cup and premier league games. Young and ambitious and perhaps most imp…

Some players should pick themselves after the last game. Maxi for example, showed he is one of our best options out wide. Torres showed plenty of hunger and I guess the fitness of Meireles might depend on whether he is partnered with Ngog or Gerrard. Does he play Johnson who has been very poor of late? Assuming Meireles is out or at least on the bench I'd go with the following: ------------------------Reina------------------------- Kelly----------Soto----------------Agger--------Aurelio Maxi---------Gerrard-------------Lucas-----------Cole ---------------Ngog-------------Torres---------------- Cole rewarded for his goal and needs …

It is looking increasingly likely that this is the season the Mancs win number 19. This will end our reign as most successful League club in England history, something we've been holding onto for years. Last season when Chelsea romped home and some of my friends were cheering them all the way home I couldn't help but think "I just want it over with." I don't think I'm going to be too bothered when the mancs beat our record. I guess I just want it over with. It's going to happen, even if by some miracle in this shit season of shit seasons they don't win the league they're going to win it 5 times before we get a sniff of it again. It's hanging over us like the sw…

Is it time for a change, or time for a winter break maybe? We have been luckier than most teams as we had 2 postponements in this gruelling period, but if I remember rightly some teams have had/will have to had to play 5 times in 15 days. No other league in Europe does this, it is entirely unique to England. It wouldn't be so bad if we just played Boxing Day and New Year's Day but we squeeze that game in on the 28th and I bet that's the game that most clubs would do away with if they could. Would you change it? What would you do to change it?

Anyone have an informed opinion on the now former Hoffenheim coach? Seems to be right up our street and also available, crucially. However, I know little about him other than he favours young players and attacking football and that he resigned his job today. Any chance some of you Euro footy nerds can hook a brother up on Rangnick's quality, please? *Looks in Woo's direction* Hoffenheim's coach Ralf Rangnick resigns after defender's sale to Bayern | Football | guardian.co.uk

I missed the match yesterday as I had a couple of gigs and I was reading about Torres in Aftonbladet and they claimed he "didn't celebrate with the fans". Now they normally just quote other papers. I have just watched the highlights and he punches the air in front of the fans. What the fuck are they on about? Did I miss something by only seeing highlights?

Whoever might be interested it looks like Martin Hansen is going out on loan in this transfer window. These are quotes from tv2sport.dk. "I'll most likely be loaned out. That's the plan so I can get to play games. Something is being arranged with club. They are very interested in me," Martin Hansen told tv2sport.dk He also spoke about the managerial situation. "I get along very well with the coaching team and I hope they'll stay. The players haven't thought much about the manager situation. They've been thinking about the need to start winning games. Everyone was happy when it happened this time," he said.

New Year, new start and hopeffuly better performances and results. Good job Roy has another home game after last nights woeful game, given we are awful away from home. However it won't be easy against Bolton who are 6th in the league. Would be another opportunity for Coyle to impress us Liverpool fans, but I am not convinced he should even be considered for our managerial role. I will be looking to see how they play, as whenever I have seen Bolton this season they have not be actrive on the eye - despite what others have said. Roy surely has to start picking players in form? That means no Torres, in particular. Maxi deserves to play, I'd use Kelly at ce…

Turn to page 73, third paragraph down, post the 4th sentence in that paragraph and we try to guess which book it is. We played in-off rules in our games in narrow Lance street where I grew up in Liverpool, and I remember deliberately kicking the ball against the door or number eight, then taking the rebound and crashing the volley between the jackets Whoops, should really have gone in the GF
