  2. Always more of an Aguilera man myself, particularly early on before she shot herself in the face with a make up gun. Spears always seemed a bit more bubblegum to me until it went a bit pear shaped. I warmed to her a bit more then. But if f Spears had turned up outside my door at 3 am, inebriated, holding a kebab in one hand and chucking stones at my window with the other, shouting "Hit me Baby One More Time" i' should go "Oi, Spears, Noooooo...." etc

  3. When I was in sixth form I had a gigantic crush on this girl called Marie. But she had an older boyfriend (bigger boys!) and rebuffed me. She was always flirtatious enough to keep me keen though. As they often are. Anyway, we were at a college night at the nightclub in Shrewsbury and it was right at the time Britney topped the charts with Baby One More Time. Her and her mates came in the school girl outfit. Shawing! We were all dancing on one of the podiums and she puts her arms on my shoulders and goes in for what I believed for a fleeting second to be a kiss. Instead she goes to my right ear and utters... "When Britney comes on, will you get down off the podium so we can all dance..." And I did.

  5. Hopefully it's all dropped, and the people responsible for creating an utterly toxic environment at party HQ, and possibly sabotaging an election campaign, can be left to go about their lives. Frankly it's outrageous there's even a suggestion of them facing any kind of consequences, tbh.

  6. With Edwards’ track record, those milestones are probably scoring the first goal on Mars and being chosen as the next actor to play James Bond.

  7. Why does someone have to be evil if they vote a certain way? It’s bollocks. I’ve got mates who say “I’d never have a pint with a Tory” and that’s bollocks too, because I’ve seen him do it. Why can’t it be seen that voting a certain way means that the top line stuff resonates with a person’s way of thinking. Because that’s what 90% of us operate on - top line info and traditional beliefs from upbringing. Assuming all tories to be evil is over stating the proactive thought of the person voting - there won’t be that much detail most of the time. I bet there are as many criminals, rapists, murderers, baddies or whatever, who are left leaning, as there are that are right. A political vote based on limited info isn’t a way to determine who someone is. I vote Labour, so does that automatically outline me as a better person than all tories? I can tell you definitively that is absolutely not the case. People elevating themselves over half the population because they lean or think a particular way is ridiculous.

  9. Just had a text from my GP, I'm not high risk but over 60. Seems Her Indoors and her Mum haven't morphed into Bill Gates yet so I'll book up next week. Normally never get any reaction from jabs so hopefully that will continue.

  10. Maybe not!!!! The high court just ruled in favour of the GLP and that the government acted unlawfully. Brilliant news.

  12. I get the general point you're making here mate, but there is bit of ironic snobbiness in saying that because you don't like something its because you don't understand it. It may be true in some cases, but i was exposed to Michael Jackson (oo-err) from an early age and he did nothing for me. That doesn't mean i cant appreciate what a talent he was, but musically, the odd song apart it leaves me cold. But you can't go around telling people they don't understand a certain type of music, when their ears and brain are already telling them that it's clearly not their cup of tea. I love Radiohead whilst others clearly don't. It's got nothing to do with their understanding of them, they just don't like them, and that's their prerogative.

  14. Probably already discussed but I was well pissed off we didn’t get upamecano for that price before Tuesday night. If kabak gave the ball away that many times people on here would be laying eggs.

  18. That's it to a T. The lad's girlfriend has a little girl who her mother likes to describe as sassy. A rude little shite. The mother is a "Living your best life" gin epidemic swiller too.

  21. If Keita plays we win this. Mainly because Everton will have no idea how to deal with him based on lack of available information which in turn is based on him never playing.

  26. The worst thing about it is all the dickheads agreeing with her, no doubt nodding along and thinking what a devastating point she's just made. George Carlin was spot on, as usual- 'Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.'

  27. Haven’t read this thread and don’t know who’s said what about Off The Wall except from what you’ve written here, but this follows a theme on here: basically the forum is full of miserable old fuckers who dismiss anything they don’t understand, which generally means black music, music by women and music designed to make you dance/smile. If it’s written and performed by people who look and think like them, sound; if not it’s shit/for kids/whatever. The fact they’re so vociferous about these criticisms is cover for their insecurities: I don’t get it so I must dismiss it. I could post in thread after thread about how fucking dull I find so much of the “classic” records/bands beloved on here, but why would I? Clearly all music has its place and if someone likes it, then sound. My problem though is this constant desire to piss on other people’s chips. You can’t “win” at being a music fan. If you like it, great; if not, shut the fuck up.

  33. No I'm saying our fans who want Salah sold are nutjobs. And they are. Instead of getting excited by flogging our stars, they should be pressuring those Bostonian gobshites to let the club spend its own money and buy some fucking footballers.

  34. I didn't really celebrate the first goal as I assumed there would be some VAR involvement, it felt weird when there wasn't one. Curtis Jones was excellent especially in the first half he was gliding around the pitch.

  36. When Everton equalised against City last night - my first thought was that if Mo or Sadio had scored a goal in that way then VAR would have managed to conjure a "line" to disallow it. Sad, but true.

  39. Class Action Park. Brilliant HBO documentary about an insanely dangerous amusement park in New Jersey during the 70s and 80s. Although it definitely ends on a sombre note you can’t help but laugh at some of it. As someone who grew up during the 80s it does make you realise just how different our childhoods were to our own kids today. 9/10

  41. I don't think anyone would doubt this season has been a clusterfuck for many reasons but that can't outweigh what these players have done the past few seasons. Losing a European Cup final and all the goings on surrounding the final then a year later lifting the trophy. Narrowly missing out on the league with a record points total, then winning the league the following year and producing some amazing displays and comeback. I would say it is more of a case that out mentality monsters are deep down human beings.
