Small personal victories

Recommended Posts

I had bitten my nails for as long as I can remember. Not due to any nervous thing as far as I can tell as I'm a relatively confident person but just through habit.

They looked shit, red and embarrassing to the point where I used to hide my hands when sat opposite someone as they were a fucking show.

About 3 weeks ago I decided to stop biting them and now I have. They've grown to the point that I look like I have normal-person-fingers. I can open cans without my teeth and also pick up small coins from flat surfaces without having to push them to an edge. A nail broke before which had never happened in my life.

For me it's using disabled toilets.

Why is it the average able-bodied toilet is always a piss lake without toilet paper, yet in the same establishments disabled toilets are whiter and cleaner than a bleach advert, and always well stocked with good quality toilet paper and hand dryers that actually work?

Given how they squeal about equality with the able bodied and wanting to stand on their own two feet, I think it's only fair that I level the playing field by using their toilet facilities. I enjoy the feeling of space from the much larger toilet - almost like a VIP bathroom. I enjoy the experience of using that armrest to lower myself gently into a sitting position, even though I have no need of it. I enjoy the experience of using the soft toilet paper to wipe my arse. And I enjoy the experience of using the fully-functioning hot water and hand dryer.

But not half as much as I enjoy a small personal victory by moving the remaining toilet paper across the room to the opposite side to the toilet seat, as I leave.

VIP Bathroom indeed. The one at work has what looks like a fucking multi-gym on the back.

Pulldowns whilst you shit. No wonder they've all got massive Biceps.
