I, for one, applaud Pickford’s attempts to push through the boundaries of goalkeeping and explore new ways to advance. Yes, there will be missteps, like this, along the way. But it is misunderstood, forward-thinking, risk takers like he who will ultimately bring new ways of thinking to the beautiful game....

I think he’s transcended sport in an attempt to win the Turner Prize.

That’s a top Superman pose. Just need somebody to draw a cape on him. Red cape, of course.

And check out the two clowns off the pitch, one of whom, naturally, is Mina, who has gone walkabout again.

That's an earlier-than-expected move for the big pay-off.

It's the way he dives into the goal for no reason, just before they score.

Amazing stuff.

Amazing. Jumping around like an over-excited Jack Russell. Still had the cheek to blame his defence after realising he'd conceded.

‘I expect very rich clubs to be coming in for him if he keeps this up. I mean Barca elk’

Elk instead of ilk aside, this was a quote on Toffee Talk about which Everton player?

Wait till they see his Christmas tree!

He will get a lot more leeway than most managers as they feel they are lucky to have him. With all their recent managers, they have felt that they are lucky to manage them

Yeah of course he will because he is bigger than them.

The replies are pure gold. I wanted to have an early night tonight but here I am absolutely pissing myself over Everton. Again.

Didn't some wallopper on GOT a couple of years ago reckon that Pickford was worth £90m or something?

Yeah SteveO.

Also Sigurdsson was worth about £75m

They could play with 2 pickfords in goal and they'd still concede more than us.

Funny as fuck from Pickford. If he stays on his line instead of chasing butterflies he saves that easily. Another first for Everton though, Keeper makes a save behind his own fucking goal line. hahahaha. They need to test the fucker for drugs. Dubrawka (sp) was just as bad, should have saved both of their efforts. Still only 7 points from safety, so I hold out hope.

The Sky commentator just gave Carlo his 4th win in 6 matches. The ground was half empty too which is such a shame as they missed another first.  The first substitute defender to score twice in injury time*

*probably.
