Just to let you all know. The U18s are 2-1 up at Crewe at the moment. 50 minutes played. They went 1-0 down through an early penalty but have repleid with goals from Tony Silva and Morgan.

To be fair I think they all have a good chance. Jack Robinson, Conor Coady and Andre Wisdom does all play for England, I can't understand why Flanno isn't there, for me he's the player with the best chances to make it alongside Conor Coady.

Flannagan, Coady, Wisdom, and Robinson was all born in 1993. Ages in order of how I've listed them.

True, but Robinson is a 1st year academy player , 'cause he's born after 1.September.

 

But Flanagan has to be the player with most development the last seasons. He wasn't in the squads before the finals against Arsenal two years ago, while Coady, Wisdom and Robinson were playing or on the bench.

 

Flanagan is in the squad for the game tomorrow though , with Johnson and Aurelio ruled out. Did anyone say Flanagan RB and Kelly LB??

Flannagan is someone who, as you said, kicked on dead well during the last year or so. I'd say Ngoo rivals him for that title though.

 

If Johnson and Aurelio are deffo ruled out, I'd expect Wilson to get the nod at left back over using Flannagan.

Carra can also be used as a RB with Soto and Skrtel and Agger as a LB. Hopefully no Soto, but Flanna as RB. He's 18 now and he's ready for it.

Just watched the goals from the 5-1 win over Blackburn. All of them were good in their own way. I can't remember who it was, but someone on here said that they don't rate Morgan at all and there are better players playing on their local park on a Sunday morning. I'm calling this bullshit, as Morgan seems to be a good talent. He's clinical inside the box and can score from long range too.

 

Coady is quality at penalties too.

Yeah good finisher Morgan. On Flanagan, didn't realise he was 18, he's got some filling out to do the boy but with a workrate like that I imagine it will naturally happen over the next two years.

Morgan seems to be getting better all the time. Playing with good players will obviously help him but he has scored some good goals recently, and a good variety of goals to boot. I wouldn't write off his chances of making it here by any means.

A lad who is playing really well in that youth set up but doesn't seem to get the recognition others get in my opinion, is Kristzian Adorjan.

 

Technically sound, good vision, passes the ball well and pops up with a few goals here and there. He's very adapt in his role behind a central striker, and is involved in just about every attacking move.

 

Good player in my eyes, and a key member of this successful youth side.

But I actually think the Youth team (FA Youth Cup as opposed to the Academy side) would function better without him in that it would allow Suso to play as a proper number 10 rather than wide.
