The breakfast was plonked down and immediately reminded me that I needed to catch up on last nights match thread on the FF.

Another Premier Inn classic. This time in a place called Ansty, near Coventry.

To their credit, the people here are very friendly. Not at all antsy.

Maggie May's Belfast city centre. Fucking brilliant.

I'd eat every single part of that and i don't even like black pudding. No higher praise.

Another over priced London disappointment for me this morning, as I had a breakfast with a client. The worst part is I had to pay. 17 quid not including drinks. The ivy in the city. The beans were like fucking soup. I'm not keen on streaky bacon anyway, but it wasn't a good version. The sausages could have been more cooked and were not so tasty. The tomato was ok I suppose. 4/10 taste. 1/10 value. Cunts.

The eggs look good considering its Premier Inn.

Was it buffet style or order from the table? I find that makes a big difference at Premier Inns

Table order. You’re right, it does.

I didn't know they were opening one up, where's that, somewhere around India buildings or exchange flags kind of way where the other London franchises are?

I don't think I've ever been to the Ivy and been impressed. I certainly couldn't be arsed making the effort to go at home. It's just pub grub level, a slight step up from Wetherspoons.

they’re shite - and they’re everywhere.  The Ivy Asia is even worse - full of fish-lipped insta whores.  All their food is just reheated schlock, and while some of the newer places have decent cocktail bars, the food is depressingly bad for what you pay. My stepdaughter worked in one and some of the stories coming out of there would prevent you from eating there.

If you’re gonna pay the sort of money to get some microwave warmed up shite at an Ivy pub chain you’re better off going a little further and going Hotel du Vin.

Yeah it's going to be on Castle Street, on the corner of where it meets Cook Street.
