Saint Maud (2019) - unsettling psychological horror. Not as good as I thought it would be, but a pretty remarkable effort for the director's debut film. Worth a watch if you like crazy British indie films (Amazon Prime).

6.5/10.

I think we could get a whole thread out of this…

Suprised at review that by Neil. I got the impression it was a highbrow intellectual euro film with a bit of good ol British darts/snooker, London thuggery and plane spotting thrown in for good measure.

Seems i may not have been far wrong when I joked about this film sending Willie Thorne to the nearest bankruptcy court.

Ghostbusters Afterlife. 7.5/10. Decent enough, very eighties feel to it and lots of nods to the original films. Probably 15 minutes too long.

Thought there was no middle act to it. Felt like there was a lot

of movie missing from when Paul Rudd gets the map to the scene in the Wal-Mart.

Could have cut 20 minutes from introducing them all and used it here to create a bit of tension.

Lad from stranger things & Paul Rudd were underused and for a film called ghostbusters, add some ghosts.

40 Year Old Virgin. Watched this in bed last night, still funny as fuck. Jay's character has me creased up everytime. 7.5/10

Some of the best insults ever in that film. The first time you see the chest waxing scene is unreal humour.

I can't remember, is it a Marillion or Journey one or something

No, it’s a picture of him. I’d read that he’d been nicked and the crew printed his mug shot on a t-shirt for a laugh and he said fuck it, I’m wearing that.

He’s brilliant isn’t he the handsome bastard. The wife and daughters were raving about him last night and I couldn’t even raise one of my pathetic criticisms for him
