Turned on for extra time.

Really pleased England won, but that was possibly the worst 10 minutes live football on TV I have ever seen.

Watched thd first half, noteworthy only for horrendous goalkeeping on both goals. Currently watching our u18s, it’s on a completely different level. (We have some exciting kids in this team and that’s without Doak)

BBC. 'The Matilldas vs The Lionesses, it doesn't get any bigger'

Erm yes it does. Every weekend.

Not down here. The quarter final against France had the highest tv audience for anything since Cathy Freeman’s 400m race at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Including all men’s sporting events since then.

Ok I was exaggerating and in terms of the woman's game this is no doubt a huge match. However if we had a power cut and the telly went off I would be less arsed than I would be if it happened against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Agreed all over the telly today. One of the things that first shocked me down here was seeing all the pics of women footy players all over the wall of the footy boots section in the sports shop.

I wonder what the best standard of a man's team that the best woman's team could beat.

Maybe level 11. The women's side would probably have better general fitness and do the technical basics (short passing, first touch etc) better, simply by virtue of practising far more often. If the level 11 side had a half decent striker they'd probably still win though.

They would just not live with the physicality of the contest. I would bet on the non league side or the under 17's men's team.

Physically they'd struggle I agree but they do have great coaches and tactically set up well. Unlike a lot of men's teams especially the lower you go.
