InDemand, after a slower and more somber start earlier this morning is dropping loads of tunes in the build up to Reminisce tomorrow.

Turn off the news, turn up the tunes!

No news bulletins, either.

My cousin is a DJ on there! Fair fucks to them for going ahead with that festival this weekend.

Starmer has said that 'she brought the monarchy into the 21st century', despite the fact that the concept of a monarchy has no place in the 21st century. He's going to change this country so much, I'm sure.

Out of interest, what would you have said if you were Labour leader?

I can't help feeling that one of the things we boast about in this country is freedom, freedom of speech, freedom to have your own voice..yet anyone who doesnt fully buy into this medieval circus will.be absolutely anhiliated in the media.

If starmer had said anything remotely controversial, helped  kiss any future tilt at pm goodbye.

“She brought the Monarchy into the 21st century” is pretty meaningless really. It’s a statement of fact. She was the Queen. While she was Queen we left the 20th century and entered the 21st century,

Think they must mean she was the was who opened the front door at B-Palace every new year. It is her gaff after all.

We play Chelsea next Sunday. If the funeral is Monday then surely that’ll be cancelled too.

If the funeral is on the Monday, then why on earth do they need to cancel fixtures the days before?

I could understand moving a Monday game so that its not on the same day, but it's madness to cancel next weekends fixtures!

This reduced me to tears of laughter!

A fish and chip shop owner who celebrated the death of Queen Elizabeth II by spraying champagne and dancing outside her shop was pelted with eggs by angry locals.

Jacki Pickett, the owner of Jaki Fish and Chip Shop in the village of Muir of Ord in the Scottish Highlands, shared a video of herself on Thursday holding a sign saying “Lizard Liz Dead” and "London Bridge has Fallen”.

After the footage quickly spread across Facebook, a small crowd of outraged residents descended on the shop and hurled eggs at the premises and sprayed the windows with ketchup.

Police were called to the scene and officers forced to close the business amid concerns for the owner’s safety and drove her home while the crowd booed loudly.

However, the abuse aimed at the owner continued online, with people vowing to run her out of the town in the coming weeks, the Press and Journal newspaper reported.

Ms Pickett appears to have now deleted the video from her Facebook page amid the ill feeling from the majority of people in the village

It was posted shortly after Buckingham Palace confirmed the death of the monarch yesterday at the age of 96.

Ms Pickett could not be contacted for comment.

One person said online: “How dare this company cheer the death of Our Queen. Absolute disgrace of a human.

"However, thank you for paying Queen Lizzie's Taxes from your horrific chippy.

“I guarantee you this place will be boycotted and you will be claiming the King's Money on benefits, will you accept it or decline it?

“You are a disgrace of a human and all those who support this business should be ashamed of celebrating the death of a great-grandmother, grandmother, a mother and the leader of our great nation”

Membership of Fish Friers Federation revoked

A Police Scotland spokesperson said today: “Shortly after 8.30pm on Thursday, September 8 officers attended at a business in the Seaforth Road area of Muir of Ord following a report of a large crowd gathered in the area.

“Officers remained at the scene to ensure the safety of all present and the group subsequently dispersed peacefully. No further police action has been required.”

The National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) confirmed they had revoked Ms Pickett's membership from their organisation.

Anti-monarchy signs were placed in the window of the fish and chip shop on Thursday

Andrew Crook, president of the NFF, said although he understands "everyone is entitled to have an opinion", he said Ms Pickett's video was in "extremely bad taste" and "completely against all of the values our organisation and industry hold dear."

Mr Crook said: "We have discussed this as a board and have taken the decision to revoke the membership of this business owner and we will be writing to them and asking them to remove all association of the NFFF from her business, social media and websites."

"She has spent much of her life building up that business and has destroyed it in the space of a day, it's quite sad."

Not all games, just a Sunday game in London. I just think that the police won’t want the hassle when they are having to protect every head of the commonwealth counties every President, King and Queen from around the world and mange crowd control for all the people who’ll be camping out along the parade route.  As well as check for terrorists, lunatics and nut jobs.

As little as possible and I would certainly not infer that something as archaic, expensive and as representative of a system that perpeteuates inequality deserves to exist in a country where wealth abounds yet poverty and deprivation increases daily.

But if I wasn't the Leader of Her Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition -and I'm not - then I would say let this be the last monarch in the UK.
