This is nasty: as a way of smearing the Labour Party, the Workers Party candidate in the West Midlands shared a doctored video which had been made to look like a volunteer campaigning for Qasim Mughal called a resident a "fucking P***".  Twitter warriors got on the case and started sharing details of her name and where she works.

This appeared on my timeline on X, it did sound like to me the alleged phrase is what she said when I heard it. I’ve heard a few times and it’s still not that clear she didn’t say it, but it certainly sounds like it. Shit that they’ve shared all that info about her, but that’s what the left have created. Smear first, deal/ignore the fallout.

I don't think the left (or what likes to brand itself as the left, but often isn't really) resorts to dirty tricks like that, not that I've seen - plenty will (and are) lapping it up though. Actually feel a bit sorry for Monty here. He stood as a candidate in Galloway's comically named 'Worker's Party' but, as he admits himself, he's not even political. When questioned here, he thinks that Nato exists to protect the EU from immigrants who are piling into poor areas in the country and putting pressure on resources. He's since stood down.

I met Monty once at the boxing. It was a Froch fight in Nottingham and there was a test match being played at Trent Bridge that weekend. Dunno if Monty played or not but he definitely had a great night out. 
 

 

Posted before about my mate who got accidentally elected as a TC here in my ward in my town. He’s literally powerless. It’s just paperwork and meetings. He fucking hates it. I keep demanding that he gets a road sign fixed. I’m not even bothered. I just like pulling his leg. 
 

It’s only the Borough Council that are allowed to actually get shit done.
