I can see a bottom 3 of Leeds, Bournemouth and Southampton.

Fair few of their players are useful squad players potentially.

Gnonto

Tyler Adams

Roca

Meslier

Struijk

Sulemana

Livramento

Salisu

Bella-Kotchap

Billing

Cook

Would definitely take Livramento and Tyler Adams. That Gnonto looks very handy as well but we would have to ditch 14 of our current right footed inside forwards to make space.

Hahaha! You’re not a Liverpool fan.

You've left the Man City squad off the list.

A reliable Dutch journalist is saying Julian Ward is a leading candidate to be a director at Ajax.

What is going on here? You quit a job at Liverpool to work at Ajax? Not a good sign at all.

You haven't been to Amsterdam have you?

I saw something earlier about somebody from our back room staff leaving for Ajax, I didn’t realise it was Ward.

Definitely a step down from us, I doubt we’ll hear the reasons until any takeover / investment is complete.

Depends on the role he takes up with Ajax, if it's a technical/sporting director role then its a step up.

His role here is Sporting Director!

I don’t know what the setup at Ajax is. Doesn’t van der Sar have some sort of role?

I’m likely doing 2+2=5, the takeover / investment news broke on 7th November. Ward resigned 24th November. I do wonder if there is something in the timing or it’s just a coincidence?

He's sporting director in name only here, in reality he sit's below the manager (although no doubt it's be described as alongside) and has no real power.

Also, if reports are to be believed, his responsibilities are diminishing and the role isn't the same as when Edwards was here.

All things that are pretty concerning. I'm not sure why we'd want to make Klopp defacto club CEO like Wenger or Ferguson. He's a great coach who is the best at developing players, he doesn't need to be doing anything grander than that. Hopefully, we get a strong Sporting Director.
