No one mentioned that at some point we have to give Virgil a rest, as well. I think he's already played about 12 straight games. At the very least we'll have to be pulling him with 20 minutes to play any time we're 2 or more ahead.

 

Terrifying, really. Lovren decidedly fails to fill one with confidence at this crucial time of the season. Who is our third option at this point anyway? Is it to try Gini at CB again? Hoever has looked amazing for the U23s but he's only just been promoted from the U18s and in fact he's only been at the club for about 5 minutes.

 

We're going to have to see Masterson or Phillips at some point, aren't we?

Could see Clyne coming back into contention. The CB issue is worrying.

Fucking typical for us to be on a roll and 3 injuries in a week. 

 

Fabinho could slot in against Newcastle. I'd probably play him and either Camacho or Clyne and make sure everyone is rested for Arsenal as we have Arsenal and City back to back and one more injury/suspension at CB leaves us fucked for them games

Literally right on whistle Matip and Koulibaly went up for a header and Koulibaly absolutely flew into him smashed him to deck.

 

Matip lay there for ages but as full time whistle blew as it happened and the chaos that followed nobody focused on it.

Wouldn’t be the worst idea. Bring in a new 3rd choice CB with the idea of offloading Lovren in the summer while we can still get a decent fee for him.

Matip is s liability, he's always Injured. He's played well in the last 2 games but fell into the usual pattern of picking up niggling injuries persistently.
