We've had lots of failed transfers where it could have gone better if we'd have accommodated some of the players better. Balotelli is an example of this. Was never wanted from the start and we never tried to make it work. Now surprise surprise he goes somewhere where they have an actual plan for him and he does well.

They've had the most consistent back line bar Chelsea. That's what's needed to be successful in the league. They've only conceded 6 goals against the bottom 11. We've given up 27! They've also only had injuries to kane and rose really,where as we've had horrendous problems. Our full team is better than theirs but we haven't had it out since last November.

Our first 11 might be better than theirs but their squad is better than ours in terms of depth, balance and it isn't full of men made of twiglets.

 

We as a club really need to look at why we get so many injuries.

If you look at Everton last week a fair few other teams have injury's to key players. We just tried to be too smart and cut the squad down to the bare bones. Especially as there was evidence to point to Sturridge Henderson and Lovren picking up a few knocks and two of our starters playing for Brazil which tends to cause problems.
