Nervy as fuck but three points is three points.

There's a lot of obvious faults with the team (Two man midfield, Lovren, Looking for Benteke's head all too often, formation, stubborn manager not playing his best team) but unlike last season it might be able to be fixed with options in the squad.

We've just got to hope we keep picking up the points steadily until Brendan sees what every man and his dog can and does the fucking obvious.

3 points.

We look like a team still working out how we play and as toothless as last season - but with a proper striker on the park we nicked it whereas that was a nailed on nil nil last year.

I just don't think we can be effective with one up front though long term.

Benteke though is at least a focal point, occupying defenders, winning things and trying to link play, a bit of movement as well....encouraging.

Milner worked his socks off....covered miles and did the little things that we need in there.

Clyne looks solid and able to offer a threat going forward and do his job defensively.

Ibe and Lallana are a bad mix...they seem to want to play in the same areas which is a problem...Ibe is young and needs time to develop his end product...Lallana i wouldn't care if he was jibbed.

Overall it wasn't good but we probably wouldn't have won that last year.

I fear a good side could rip us a new arsehole mind and we could look even more toothless than we have so far (convinved we need two up) but for now it is 6 points from 6 and that is the main thing.

My issue with that was that we showed glimpses of class and played some quick incisive football without scoring yet against a very limited side with little else but hard work and endeavour to offer we couldn't keep control of the game and run out comfortable winners. It just isn't good enough and Rodgers was lucky tonight insomuch as the referee did is couple of massive favours. Reality check next week

Benteke is a beast. Delighted with him. Moreno did well when he came on. Clyne is an excellent signing.

Team is still very disjointed. Don't think Rodgers knows his best 11 or system. Need to figure it out and fast with the away games coming

Lots wrong and we'll be found out big time. But it's a win and at this stage of the season is the 3 points that matter.

Skrtel, Milner and Benteke played well but Gomez was excellent tonight. We have a real talent there let's hope he doesn't lose it somehow... onwards and sidewards.

Clyne reminds me of finnan. Cant pay him a much better compliment than that.

Can looks overweight and hes slow as fuck too sometimes.

gomez did well again. Lallana was better in the 2nd half when he played centrally.

Not overly impressed with what I saw from firmino. Thought he could pressed a bit harder.

some good stuff from benteke, most importantly he scored a winning goal.

emirates next which is always tough for us but we're due some sort of result there.

Another retarded post

Why would he take off the captain after 50 odd minutes to prove a point to the owner

Jose did it. !! ;)

We looked disjointed but 6pts from 6 is a good start, Lovren still looks shakey and Lallana was poor all game lets hope another weeks training and we will look better against Arsenal.

We are still trying to find some cohesion but it's the new boys who started that game who were probably our best players. Benteke showed glimpses of what we hope he can deliver on a regular basis, and both Milner and Clyne were steady and composed rather than spectacular. Gomez was given a few problems but he also acquitted himself well.

It's not perfect but 6 points out of 6 with two clean sheets is a more-than-decent return on the season so far.

We got lucky with the goal and seemed off the pace when Henderson went off.

We had very good performances all over the pitch with Milner, Gomez, and even Lovern.

Should we have had a few more goals yes, but we did seemed disjointed at times.

Another game with no Ings but at least we know now where we can play Moreno.
