James Milner is....

Fucking love him at LB, fair play to Klopp on that. With him and Matip in the backline instead of Sakho and Moreno, we've got way more composure in the back four even if Matip can't match Sakho's athleticism and Milner can't match Moreno's pace. But the whole unit feels far more secure knowing that there isn't really anyone who's going to do something fucking braindead: Matip may get brushed aside once or twice and Milner will inevitably get turned for pace at some point but that's far less stressful than waiting for someone to inevitably fuck up.

Good signing.

Always though that playing him central wouldn't work.  Every time I'd ever seen him play well, even back in his Leeds days, it was out wide.  He's just got the intelligence to make it work.

As LB?  I thought he'd be a disaster but after a bit of a shaky start he's playing well.

Great pro.  Good player.  Well experienced.

Glad to have him at LFC.

Even though he's 30 now I'm sure if he really wanted to he could move to any other team in the league and be an important player and guaranteed starter for most of them too.

I think he's class. He's no CM, but he could and would play anywhere asked and give his absolute all. I won't have a bad word said about him. Sounds like a top bloke off the pitch too.

He's replacing the void that Dirk left behind for me.

He's gone from zero to hero for me.

I hated him last season, especially in a CM two, where he was a complete liability IMO.

But he has been ace at LB, attacking-wise and defensively.  His pens have been boss as well.

Might have found his best position age 30.
