Sterling at RWB sprints at a Swansea guy in possession, Swansea guy passes it five yards to take Sterling out of the game, ball is passed to the now vacant area where Sterling should be, Can ambles across vacating the centre of the pitch, is beaten, ball is passed to the centre of the pitch, and Swansea almost score. Sums up our play for this half.

This is bothering me. The whole team is flat. We are giving it away cheaply. We can't pass. We've given two stupid yellows away. They are well on top, and Gomis almost scored there. Good save Mignolet. Oh - and the whole team is ten yards too deep. We need a higher line and we need to start pressing.

Will someone step up and grab hold of this?

Stevie is going. He's been an incredible player for us. All of the others have a chance to show what they can do as Stevie winds down. It's all well and good looking like a good team when it's going well, but when, for whatever reason (and it happens) you are playing rubbish, you need someone to grab hold of it. You need someone to say 'Not on my watch'.

Can? Henderson? Sakho? Someone? Is there a leader out there?

It needs it! Man Utd felt us breathing down their neck and they played much better and got a good win yesterday. We need to respond in kind and keep the pressure on.

Bad day at the office so far.
