Selling Sakho

  1. 1. Would it be a mistake to sell him?

Sell him, then. Why keep him at the club if he's such a shit unprofessional bellend?

They tried to sell him, they tried to loan him out, He wouldnt go. He hs been told he's not wanted. I dont think the Klopp or LFC could be any more clearer.

I couldnt care less really. Klavan is a better player anyway.

I disagree. The official line is that he's unfit. The player is on social media claiming to be fit. Kloppo says it doesn't matter what the player thinks only he decides when someone is fit enough to play, which is fair enough. I haven't seen any evidence that we've tried particularly hard to sell him.

My main gripe with the whole situation is essentially regarding the lack of clarity.

He sent him home from the US Tour, to be sent home from tour you have had to have acted extremely unprofessional.

He was taking diet pills that i presume our club doctor was unaware about and rightly or wrongly was subsequently banned.

If you read between the official club lines. The club have touted him on loan anywhere, of the handfull of clubs that offered to take him, Sakho subsequently turned them all down.

Klopp had already told him and the public it was extremely unlikely he was going to get first team football at the club.

Behind closed doors i have no doubt Klopp has told him face to face he should find another club, but bizarrely Sakho believes because he had a bit of a cult following and his name chanted a few times he's going to get back in the fold.

I very much doubt barring a defensive injury crisis wether he will ever pull the shirt on again, personally im happy about that as ive never rated him as highly as some. When Klopp prefers to drop a midfielder into central defence instead of you, the penny should drop that your not wanted.

He is now 5th choice centre back and bleating to the media and fans is'nt going to help him one bit.

There was an outside chance he might make it back, but not any more. The social media stuff will be the last straw at Liverpool.

Diet pills. Unprofessional on tour. Not fit enough.

There were enough problems for him to overcome before this. Now I feel it will be insurmountable. He can do a decent job elsewhere, and you would have to think he'll be gone in January.

Soft touch or not, he's going with a bad reputaion from 2 clubs, us and PSG.

Buyers will be aware he took supplements without the club's knowledge irrespective of them not being banned substance. He ran out on rodgers when not in the team. He tried to take on Klopp and there was only going to be one winner.

Always thought he was a good egg, seemed to have a bit of character, made great efforts to get involved in the community etc. Never want to see him play for the club again now though and I have no doubt the manager feels the same.

3 am. Twelve hours before a championship match he's falling in the door off his head on fucking diet pills giving it the big mé féin.

Unforgivable lack of respect for the club.

You might as well get it over with so, Mama. What's the lie? If we deserve to know and you're going to tell us, just spit it out then.

He has LITERALLY been left to rot in the reserves.

He hasn't, though. I just watched the reserve game, the starters were Ilori (anyone remember him?) and Corey Whelan (promising 18-year old).  Brewitt came on in the second half, no sign of Sakho anywhere.

Think Mamadou is a cert to leave in January or next summer at the latest.  He's still our best centre back as an individual player, but the others are playing better in Klopp's system and if the behind-the-scenes stuff is serious enough (and it clearly is) then best just to ship him off, I suppose.  If we can get 15m and get a replacement as good as him for similar money then job's a good one.

Have to admire the timing of his 'outburst'. Right in the middle of a good team run when the defence has generally swapped the clownshoes of recent years for some consistent and solid defending.

That's not really true, though. We haven't kept a clean sheet in the league this season. We're basically winning in spite of our defence.
