Well, I was just wondering whether anyone has been there. A few of my mates are going there on that J1 deal for the summer and I was thinking of following them. Problem is, I would be going around a week after them at the begining of June. I was wondering whether I should go with that J1 programme, or would I be safer of just booking my own flights independantly and landing out where hopefully, accomodation will be sorted and that they will have a good idea where the best jobs are etc. Would I save much money doing it independantly? Also, can I expect a lot of awkward questions at customs due to my return date being just under three months after my departure? Cheers.

I see that they are back on the scene with a new album (not sure if it is "new" or not really) and it reminds me of a bizarre claim to fame. I used to spend my New Years Eves with Genesis P. Orridge and his missus. They were Neil and Paula to me mind. He's an oddun but he was an ace laugh and great with us kids.

Just been looking at Total Fitness website trying to find the monthly prices. FFS is harder the the Da vinci code to find them. I know they want you to look around but I wanna know the prices first. Is anyone here a member of the Chester one (or near by)? Other clubs info would be appreciated. Ta.:wallbutt:

UK sailors captured at gunpoint HMS Cornwall Commodore reacts Fifteen British Navy personnel have been captured at gunpoint by Iranian forces, the Ministry of Defence says. The men were seized at 1030 local time when they boarded a boat in the Gulf, off the coast of Iraq, which they suspected was smuggling cars. The Royal Navy said the men who were on a routine patrol in Iraqi waters, were understood to be unharmed. Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett has demanded the immediate and safe return of the HMS Cornwall servicemen. She added that she had called for a "full explanation" from Iran and had left them in no doubt that she wanted the group and …

The Snoop Dogg thread got me wondering. We can deny non-EU citizens entry into the UK if we know about any dodgy stuff they've done in the past. But we make no such checks on EU citizens since that conflicts with the free movment nature of the organisation. But it also allows literally countless ex-cons into the UK and we have no idea what they have done, since many of these East European EU states don't have any kind of criminal database which would be shared with the UK, which would then enable us to stop dodgy feckers coming into the UK. A good example is of this bloke from Latvia who served a couple of sentences over there for rape, and when released he came here free…

Oh how I despise this station. Is it just me or is every single DJ on this station a no-nothing fuckwit? Have to listen to this poor excuse for radio in work and it really does my head. I have to listen to some poor excuse for a disc jockey ramble on about shite like one smeg remarking after playing that awful Kelis song "Li'l Star"- "if there was ever a song I'd like to get with and have little song babies, then this is it" :wallbutt: Hearing the biggest blert in Liverpool, Kev Seed declare the lastest bland offering by James Morrison "a fantastic record" irritates me enormously. Well Kev, spend an hour with me going through my record collection and I'd blow you…

Just had a letter through the door from them. This free Internet upgrade to 20meg that everybody's been talking about doesn't look it's going to be free. By 'free', they mean £25 for a modem upgrade and an increase of £2 a month. Doesn't sound much, but it's hardly free. Thinking of downgrading to the next lowest speed. Any thoughts on this one?
