Just looked at the odds for the next general election on oddschecker and the tories are odds on to win most seats, good god.

On the day of the EU referendum leaving was about 6 to 1 and remaining was 1 to 5 on.

Odds around politics have often been completely wrong over the last ten years at least.

There won't be many people betting on this market at all, so bookmakers will have priced them up based on the most recent election result.

Yeah but the bookies didn't read the Europe thread on here, I convinced everyone (bar of course for AngryOfTuebrook) but theirs always one.

Yeah but they're not often wrong.

So the fat, useless cunts excuse is going to be…

’Yes, there were gathering at work, they were essential to staff moral at the time and as their leader it was essential I was there to support and guide them through very difficult times.

They were essential to the success of our pandemic response and should be viewed in an entirely different light to other peoples gathering and not subject to the same censure’

And he’s paying £3k plus an hour for that shit.

Might get it past the fuzz, but I doubt very much that it’ll wash with the public or back benches.

Unfortunately more and more who were fuming are less arsed now and parking it as a “so what, more important things” etc. Him single handedly ending covid in the uk has saved the cunt.

The charge of deliberately misleading parliament still stands.

It’s not a legislative issue it’s a parliamentary convention and the status of these is unclear in law if at all. I think the Tory party may feel that’s a bridge too far though if it’s clearly shown he knowingly lied.

Cummings claims to have ultra incriminating photos implying drug use in the flat. It’s a bit like the RAF attacks on the Tirpitz battleship, I think his plan is to wait and see if the Met charge him (attack 1), see how the MPs react (attack 2) then when it look like he’s becalmed and holed below the water line despatch his Lancasters to finally sink him.

Boris Johnson plans to hold further talks with world leaders as they work to bring Russia “back from the brink” of war with Ukraine as the crisis enters a “critical juncture”.

The prime minister will continue with diplomatic efforts this week despite No 10 assessing that all information suggests Moscow could be planning an invasion “at any moment”.

He is understood to be receiving daily intelligence briefings from security chiefs on the increasing buildup of Russian forces and will travel to Europe towards the end of the week.

No 10 did not set out which world leaders Johnson was hoping to talk to or where he plans to travel, but it was understood he is keen to engage with Nordic and Baltic countries.

Christ, those are the only countries that the clown can hope to get an audience with? The U.K. used to be a serious country
