Octopussy (Roger Moore) was being filmed at the same time as Never Say Never Again (Sean Connery). Connery was starring in the latter while Roger Moore had insisted he was no longer interested in playing Bond any longer. As a result Octopussy was being filmed with James Brolin as the new James Bond but Roger Moore was eventually convinced to return as the makers were concerned that Connery would smash Brolin out of the park. Turns out that Roger Moore's Octopussy just about beat Sean Connery's Never Say Never Again at the box office.

Brolin would have been a good James Bond, imo. Cool as fuck. Josh Brolin wouldn't be bad either.

Was watching some YouTube stuff the other day about this very subject and was forced to agree with the bloke's overriding assertion that Daniel Craig is actually a shit Bond. He's a good action hero, but he's a shit Bond.

Bond should be suarve, dapper,.witty, Craig's Bond is none of these things. Brosnan, who I was never hugely fond of in the role, actually was in hindsight and has gone up in my estimations accordingly.

Eubank would make a sensational Bond. They might have to double the run time though.

Bond has long been lacking some Stallone - Over The Top trucks smashing through houses arm-wrestling action

Read earlier that Bond is going to be a father in the movie to a 5 year old child. All that shagging around and only one kid? Check his sperm!

It's a film that shouldn't have been made to be honest. The last few films have all centred around him being past his best, old and an analogue man in a digital age. Yeah great, when I think of James Bond I think about him being slow, stupid, and having the piss taken out of him by women and computer nerds.
