Roman Abramovich has turned to his PA, Marina Granovskaia, to form an important part of his transfer recruitment team as Chelsea step up their bids for Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne.

Weren't we interested in Kevin De Bruyne in the summer? Moreover, we have good relationships with Genk (with sending african and south american players there etc)- kinda like feeder club. This chap looks like a talent and Chelsea are coming in with a big bid for him. Should we try and get him?

Obligatory Youtube video for those who have not seen this lad (that would be most of us :tease:).

I may be alone but I'd like to see reinforcements in midfield. If we're honest we haven't truly replaced Masch or Xabi. As we saw against West Ham we need Stevie high up the pitch where he can hurt teams.

I'd take Masch back in a second and he seems out of favour atm though I doubt he want to come back. Otherwise what about Lassana Diarra? Another who's out of favour. Some who can play alongside Lucas or Meireles.

Along with the pacy centre back, left back and winger/forward to complement Carroll and Suarez we'd be close to completing the jigsaw..... Just hope we can persuade Pepe to stay. If not what about Shay Given? Kenny's signed him twice before and he ain't a bad keeper.

What kind of player is he? Where does he play? If we were interested and given our previous link with the club then yes we should have the inside track.

Kevin De Bruyne is an attacking midfielder/ forward. Has very good technique when striking the ball. Don't know much about his passing ability. Youtube comments say that we have right of first refusal for him- I cannot confirm this. However, we do have a deal with Genk to exchange scouting information and if needed send our fringe players on loan to that club ( Chris Mavinga is on loan there I think). Moreover, they help us out with African and South American visas for players who have difficulty getting permit in the UK.

Lille's highly-rated midfield Eden Hazard has signed a one-year contract extension to keep him with the Ligue 1 leaders until 2015.

The 20-year-old Belgium international is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Europe and had been linked with a move to Arsenal.

A statement on Lille's official website said Hazard "perfectly embodies Lille's style of football".

Hazard, who has 18 caps for Belgium, has already made close to 100 league appearances for Lille, having made his debut as a 16-year-old.

The Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year for the last two years running, Hazard has helped put Lille in pole position to win their first league title since 1954 this season.

Lille lead the standings from Rennes on goal difference.

The club website added that Hazard puts in "spectacular performances with a consistency and calmness that is rare for his age".

It also praised his "technical ability, his explosiveness on the ball, his calmness in front of goal and his battling qualities".

The "Which left back will be linked to Anfield today?" game continued on Friday, as 24-year-old Italy international Domenico Criscito has now been tipped for a move to Anfield.

According to the Guardian, the Genoa left back "is on his way to Liverpool," though the report appears to be no more substantial than a rumor.

While Criscito may not be as highly-touted a prospect as Benfica's Fabio Coentrao, he is a bigger name than Sweden international Oscar Wendt, Emilio Izaguirre and Jose Enrique, all of whom have recently been linked to Anfield moves.

Criscito has become a fixture at left back for Italy and has been impressive for Genoa in the Serie A. His value, which has consistently risen in recent years, now sits at £10.5 million, according to TransferMarkt.co.uk.

Yes please.

Genoa have got some mad little side that they've managed to assemble.

Criscito, Rafinha, Konko, Dainelli, Veloso, Paloschi.

two can play at that game

What game :P

It's not Jones (although he will be gone in the summer).

The sport editor of the Guardian has put on Twitter that Reina has done an interview with Sid Lowe to be published in the paper tomorrow.

Supposed to be sounding like he is wanting to leave in the summer.

would be a risky move but i'd be inclined to offload both Agger & Srktel and replace them with just the one player & hopefully better. I think Subotic at Dortmund would be a great buy. No doubt they'll be strong competition though

And go into next season with Carra as 1st choice, with back up of....Soto and a few kids?

We need two new, starting CB's in the Summer, even if we hold on to Agger and/or Skrtel.
