Anyone interested in this?

Taylor looking vulnerable this year IMO - I fancy a bit of a shock winner, possibly a first-timer at a decent price.

With that in mind, I've had an e/w punt on Mark "Walshy" Walsh at 100/1. Also have some money on Whitlock at 16/1 that I did early in the year.

Off to a decent start what with Colin Llloyd punching the dartbaord last night.

Game on!

Fuck - wrong forum - anyone know how to move this?

Think Barney's a bit too temperamental nowadays, but it's not a bad shout at tens. I usually throw some money on Terry Jenkins, might be worth an each way shout at 50's.

So don't bet on barney because he's temperamental yet he's won loads of major tournaments, yet you would bet on Jenkins who has never won a major, don't see the logic in that meself but good luck to you.

Taylor always picks it up a gear don't be fooled.

Webster and Whitlock are decent bets if you don't want to back Taylor.

But he doesn't though. See 2008 World Champs for details, or this year's GSOD when he fell apart under pressure from Steve Beaton, or the World Cup. He's vulnerable at the minute. He may still have enough to win, but he's way off form...

Webster would have been a great bet at the start but his price has dropped massively now and he's not worth it now IMO.

Difference is that Jenkins is 50s and Barney is 10s.

Well Barney's not won much in recent times since his head has seemingly fell off. Jenkins has managed 8 finals (hence the each way bet), and is playing well this year. And as someone else has pointed out there's a bit of a difference between 10's and 50's.

You've sort of made all my points for me really. The reason Jenkins is 50s is because he's never won a final, he hasn't got it, and he's been ok this season I wouldn't say he has played that well he was the whipping boy in the premier league.

Taylor moves up the gears when he needs to, those who are saying he is vulnerable need to put it into context, just because he doesnt win every single major tournament doesn't mean he is all of a sudden vulnerable, you can't go from being virtually unbeatable to vulnerable overnight.

You can though, and he has. He hasn't won the last 2 majors (beaten by Lewis and Beaton) and him and Wade were dumped out of the WC by Spain in the first round. Then he comes out in the first game of the Worlds and throws a 89 average when a year ago he'd been throwing 105 almost every game and was basically unbeatable. It not the same at the minute though - it's about form.

He may well win it again, but at 11/10 he's a poor bet.
