I reckon Moises is already our alternative Bellingham signing.  Him and another, both probably for the price of what one Bellingham will cost. If we’re clever we’ll get our midfield signings sorted before a Bellingham transfer is made because once the stupid price for him sets a precedent we’ll be scraping barrel bottoms again.

Taking a step back, is Bellingham that special that he is worth building our whole future plans around ?

He has impressed me on most occasions I have seen him for England but never blown my socks off, and Dortmund seem very meh with him in the side.

Not sure what game you're watching but Salah/Trent being slightly under par doesn't mean it's a complete mess.

It is a mess and Elliot is making it. He's a great player but should not be playing in that position

Of Salah, Trent and Elliott, Elliott has been by far the best of the 3 so far.

 

Mo has been Ok. Trent has been awful.

It seems to be an open secret that we are signing Bellingham.

 

We are the only club that are being consistently linked with him, the likes of Henry Winter seem to think it's a done deal.

We were being strongly linked with Tchouameni in the press towards the end of last season. We were definitely interested in him, if Madrid hadn't wanted him, or if he'd preferred the move to us, I think we'd have had a decent shot.

 

Imo the journalists have all been briefed on our Bellingham interest for the same reason - to convince the player to make us his first preference. If he's up for the move, and won't go anywhere else, we'll use that to drive down the fee.

 

The thing is, if anyone is prepared to offer him more money (eg. Any of the other top six on England, or Madrid) he will turn us down. This is blatantly going to happen.

it's only Engerlund fans that actually think he's any good. Getting into the international set up

for England at that age isn't a badge; anyone that's had 6 good games gets a cap now a days. Especially In the shite friendly tournaments they've created. 
 

if a non English team came in for him he would go for 45-60mill tops and that's only because of BD pedigree as a team. 
 

the rest is just English tax as there is English media hype about him. 
 

he's not that good and I would hate to spend 100mill on someone. The 100mill if we had it should go on someone of Halaands pedigree.
