Walking / Hiking

Hiking? Bit American for my liking.

I find that as I've got older (probably fitter, more likely) I like it more and more. I'd like to do more. There are just too many lovely things to do

Yeah, it's just walking. You aren't discovering a new country.

Being a fat bastard I do love walking and hiking. Nothing beats wandering around a city aimlessly. Even the dodgy parts.

Hiking is great over here you are completely alone in the forest most of the time as the trails are remote near where I now live.

Also love walk-in to work early in the morning the city has a different feel at 4am. The summer time can be a bit nervy at times as the meth heada and travelling vagrants tend to sleep during the day. Walked past one who was beating a fire hydrant with a stick.

Love the mountains, I've a tendancy to stand at the bottom admiring them rather than walking up though.

If I had a car I'd be more liable to do some Munros & some in the Lake District too, public transport isn't the best for getting to these places. My Mum & Dad climbed the highest mountains in Scotland, England, Wales, NI & Ireland a few years back & I'm pretty jealous. I've done Ben Nevis three times right enough.
