Sandwiches

The one I get is about £2.60

That's not bad, I guess. Those packets of sandwiches, one round, cut diagonally, almost no filling, yet somehow sopping wet bread, are a similar price.

One of the chain bar/restaurants here does 100 different mini sandwiches. All between a euro or two euros. They are fucking small though and you'd need three or four to feel like you've had a meal.

£3 for a six inch and a drink is what I usually get, but it doesn't include the better sandwiches. Doesn't matter to me obviously. But when I used to eat meat I always got turkey and ham in that deal. A full twelve inch is too much for me. Not that I couldn't eat it, it just gets boring. Not as boring as this post, mind you.

It’s nice to know that you keep yourself away from the crisps shelf. Good lad. It’s for the best.

One thing that hasn't had a shout yet is polony. A polony sandwich is underrated. Cheese and pickled onions too.

And a ham and crisp sandwich. Sandwiches are boss.

I've just remembered Mario's on Hanover Street. Years back, they did the most amazing steak and fried onion sandwich. It was sublime.

Had to google Polony- seems to be on a par with Spam. Im in.

(Pickled onions?)

Seeing as this has turned into a thrill a second Subway thread, my top tip is to hook the lettuce and red onions, maybe the peppers too when it comes to the salad. I actually like all 3 but the lettuce and peppers pad out your sandwich too much so they scrimp with the other items and the red onions don't mix well with sauce. Anyone who has tried this advice has agreed I'm right (a whopping 2 or 3 people)
