Picked up the wrong getting slip from the bookies yesterday thinking I had picked up a both teams score and pick the winner slip.

 

No I picked up a slip for the number of goals a team will score and thought fuck it. Threw a quid on spurs getting 3 or more as well as the blue shite and us to do the same.

You would assume it's a matter of time before they try and pinch Rafa?

Why the fuck would rafa want to go to west ham? I know you never said he would be interested but if they got shit of slavan in the hope of getting rafa they deserve to get relegated.

 

In fairness to slavan they are playing a spurs side who are on fire so I think this match can be overlooked. I think he will be herd come the end on the season.

Spurs were level on points with us before today.  One clubs in crisis and the other one is top class, ummm.

They get a very easy ride from the media I guess because expectations are so low?

 

They're a decent side but they're not going to win anything, Wembley is a real problem for them this season, they'll struggle to hold onto players long term (wages and club ambition), they've not been great in the transfer market over the last couple of seasons and they're saddled with several hundred millions of debt which will limit their ability to buy for several seasons.

Not really a huge gulf in the character of Newcastle's owner and those of West Ham.

 

He's better than either of those clubs. Speaking as a fan of the man here, but maybe he's seen as difficult to work with at this stage by proper football clubs. I was surprised Valencia didn't go for him last year.

Good question, probably because Rafa's relationship with Ashley is on borrowed time. If Rafa keeps them in the Premiership this season there is zero chance Ashley will let Rafa spend. Ashley's only focus at the moment is to sell for a profit or failing that to recoup his losses to date with the £100 million plus a season TV money.
