Glos need 113 to win.

Things have turned around with Sussex getting pummelled by Derbyshire's batsmen in their second innings. Glamorgan going great guns though. It will all be down to the final set of fixtures and Glous have Northamptonshire.

With no points at stake in New Zealand there will be no sense in just sending the usual suspects. It is the perfect time to look at the likes of Sibley, Pope, Stone & Foakes.

New Zealand squad - no Bairstow, and only Butter as wk, so Pope will cover. He doesn't keep for Surrey because of Foakes. Hopefully he is in the next squad.

England squad for two Tests in New Zealand: Joe Root (Yorkshire) captain, Jofra Archer (Sussex), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Rory Burns (Surrey), Jos Buttler (Lancashire), Zak Crawley (Kent), Sam Curran (Surrey), Joe Denly (Kent), Jack Leach (Somerset), Saqib Mahmood (Lancashire), Matthew Parkinson (Lancashire), Ollie Pope (Surrey), Dominic Sibley (Warwickshire), Ben Stokes (Durham), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire).

There won’t even be half a session of play in the next 3 days here so Glos could well get promoted thanks to the rain.

You only needed to get one more bonus point than Glamorgan to ensure promotion anyway. Durham are well placed against Glamorgan at 262/8 with rain delay. Just as well there is some weather about as Glous collapsed against Northamptonshire and won't be getting any batting bonus points.

We were 80/6 when rain stopped play yesterday.

Pitch inspection at 2:30 and it’s actually bloody dry at the moment ffs.

Just have to hope for more rain. If Northamptonshire bat well in their first innings it could be a very nervous time for you when you bat again, especially if Glamorgan turn things around against Durham. Durham fucked things up a few weeks ago by snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in two successive matches. Probably best we stay in Division 2 though for another season as they are still rebuilding after all the shit they went through with deducted points and relegation.

Glos get at least one batting point.

Quite a turnaround from 80/6 to 220/7.

So I noticed, no play at Durham today, so you are as good as promoted now. Congrats mate.
