Utter shit again. Can still turn it around at Anfield cause Southampton are just as poor.

One things for sure we got extremely lucky with the points we managed to pick up in december and the league form will fall off a cliff soon without new signings. Well that or keeping the first XI fit week in week out which is extremely unrealistic.

It's the best way to get the worst run of results out of your system (hopefully done now!) by spreading it across 3 competitions, 2 of which have another leg to right the wrong. Nice to see Phil get some minutes into his legs and well in Karius, giving a glimpse into why Klopp brought him over.

Nice too to actually be the beneficiary of poor finishing for once!

I hope klopp tears this shower new arseholes after this and they go to the toilet on sunday revved up to fuck..

This has been a shambles

The team's tired. The few core, good players we have are being run into the ground. Nothing to do with being a "shower" or lacking "respect". Clear as day the squad needed a gee up this month. Swansea, United, Chelsea, Leicester (a), Hull (a) in the next 5: eminently awkward fixtures given the mixture of quality & new managers.

Dire performance yet not the end of the World over a two legged affair with the home tie to come. We were lucky, we could have been dead and buried. Worrying how little we created and how lethargic the players looked. Great to have Coutinho back, hopefully he can lift the team going into the mancs game and the return leg. That greasy twat Mourinho will get his players to target Coutinho.

Mancs then Plymouth then up against a Swansea team with a new manager and our confidence could be in the minus zone! All our pace is gone. We seem to be still suffering from Sunderland but most of them haven't played in 9days! We've no pace up top none in the middle and none at the back! Not a great combination is it.

That was shite. We had most of the possession but did absolutely fuck-all with it when we got within 30 yards of the Southampton goal. But for Karius, Southampton could have been out of sight.

Before kick off, as soon as the commentator mentioned how many games Redmond had gone without a goal, I just knew he would break his duck against us, and it was a fresh air kick by Klavan that led to his goal. So many players break their duck against us.

Sturridge was absolutely dreadful in this game, although he wasn't helped by a midfield totally devoid of any creativity or dynamism until Lallana dropped back after we brought Coutinho on. Even then, we didn't test Fraser Forster.

We have to be careful that this mini-rut doesn't turn into a full-blown crisis.

Well only 1-0 at half time. Sounds and looks like we played an 2 legged European away type game there.

Dont understand why the players looked so fucked when they've had quite a break since their last game. We were awful all over the pitch.

Sturridge had no service and passing the ball across their back lines all night did nothing to create any openings for him. Bobby had one good effort but when in good positions twice wanted to do the fancy stuff. Lallana was as gash as anyone. Fact is, its probably unfair to single anyone out as being a culprit.

Only Karius and Clyne can come out of that with the heads held high.

I think you're right. The paper thin squad and the energy required to play the way want is not a good combo.
