I've just watched Nintendo and Square Enix's shows.

That's two hours of my life I'll never get back.

Yep. Nintendo's presentation was especially tedious. Puppets of the company big wigs? What's that all about?

Star Fox Zero and Mario Maker looked interesting, to be fair. Not interesting enough for me to invest in a Wii U or either title though.

As for Square Enix, I've never been that much of a fan of JRPG, so only really Hitman and Tomb Raider piqued my interest, and we only got a few minutes of each. I can take or leave Just Cause and Deus Ex.

Sadly I thought the puppets were probably the best part of Nintendo's show. I like Starfox, but I've a feeling after I play the aerial combat of Star Wars Battlefront I won't want to touch anything else.

Both shows could have been better served by about ten minutes of footage rather than fifty minutes of waffle. The SE show was especially bad for that. Loads of talk about being excited, having the best community, changing the face of gaming etc. I was surprised anyone can keep a straight face.

Ah well, maybe the PC show will have some decent VR details.
