If there's one positive to take from tonight its that should have put an end to the Balotelli experiment.

How many times have we said that. He is worse value for money than Andy Carroll.

He'll be happy with the bruised ankle anyway as he can sit out the rest of the season. He doesn't like football.

Poor performance from our attacking players once again, we should have got a draw atleast from this game.

No excusing it but as I said before our last two games these were two difficult fixtures, too teams that know how to frustrate and sit back while we are struggling for goals at the minute.

Season long minute Brendan.

Should be 2 points behind the Mancs with the same games played, but instead we're 7 points behind.

I don't like blaming the manager for shit results, but if/when the players aren't good enough, who else is to blame? Maybe the committee?

Either way, something's got to change. If the manager goes, we need someone with the pedigree to handle the committee and the players. If the committee goes, I don't know if I'd trust Rodgers with spending the money.

I'm all for giving the manager time, but if we are to replace Rodgers in the next year or two, we have to do it this summer with the calibre of manager that'll be available.

Amazing.

Yeah Rodgers clearly got it wrong when we dominated the ball most of the game but when our ams got the ball the couldn't do anything with it, what was he thinking starting Sterling and Coutinho.

We got bummed by them last year and could barely get out of our half with Sturridge and Suarez up front but tonight shows Rodgers has clearly lost it and should go.

How did Lambert do when he came on? I'm guessing shit but I have no doubts we'd be better off if he started the games Balotelli has over the course of the season.
He's looked useless under Rodgers. I dunno if it's the weight of expectation or what, but I never saw him have a bad game for Southampton

He was better than Balotelli. It's just difficult to impress when the teams set up in a way that doesn't exploit your strengths and the manager has absolutely no faith in you.

He got on the end of one cross but there wasn't much pace on it, he directed a harmless header towards the near post which the keeper easily gathered.  That's the only contribution I can remember.

I wonder how many people still think Sterling should be paid whatever he wants to keep him? He's simply not that good.

Also, welcomed to the wonderful world of a first choice midfield two of Allen and Henderson.

Allen is a good player, who regularly does a decent job. He keeps to himself as well and doesn't conduct contract talks through the media. I wouldn't sell him.
