Five players to be shown the door this summer

Given what's gone on at the club since Sterlings contract issue on the eve of a massive game against utd. I'm struggling to think rationally about who should stay and who should go. At the moment I feel the lot should go barring Can, Ibe and Coutinho. The owners, Ayre, Brendan and the rest of the players can go. I'm so fucking annoyed at the moment, they can all fucking do one for all I care. Embarrassing the fan base the way they have. We are weak as piss from top to bottom.

It's about FSG started getting real. Appoint someone who actually knows how to conduct transfers and make already proven players your target. Not players with potential or who might come good. Enough of that shit. Enough of spending millions upon millions on absolute guff. And if they aren't interested in changing their policy, they should sell up to someone who has far more ambition then they have.

Oh and they need to start making sure things are kept more in house as well. Come down really heavy on anyone who leaks stuff to the media that will portray us in a bad light. It fucking embarrassing how we Ayre(pun intended) our dirty linen in public these. Shanks, Paisley and Fagan must be turning in their graves.

Johnson and Gerrard are going. Sterling is almost certainly going, and can just fuck off anyway if he does not want to play for us.

In addition I would jib Enrique, Kolo, Balotelli, Borini, Lambert, Lovren, Aspas, Coates, Alberto, Jones, Allen.

That frees up a lot of wages that could be used to pay decent players who will improve us there has to be what 50 million pounds a year of wages there that is either leaving or is adding fuck all to us.

Balotelli has scored more goals than Sturridge in his career.

Mainly in Italy, where the pace of football is more suited to his, let's say, "languid" style.

In top-flight English football, Sturridge (played 139; scored 53) has played about twice as often and scored considerably more than twice as many as Balotelli (played 69; scored 21).

A lot more than five need to go. To my mind it is something like 8-10 players currently involved in the first team squad who need to be moved on, plus 4-5 loanees.

Goalkeeper:

Brad Jones

Defenders:

Kolo Toure, Glen Johnson, Enrique

Midfielders:

Gerrard, Lucas

Strikers:

Balotelli, Borini and Lambert all need to go

Loanees:

Aspas, Coates, Alberto, Wisdom (undecided on him, but looks like he hasn't kicked on)

Between the lot of them it should bring in 30-40M, plus the usual spend of 30M or so, plus money from Sterling if he goes, let's say 50M. We should very much be looking at another 100M+ summer spend. It will be crucial to get this right. To my mind it should all be spent on three first team players, in this order:

Striker

Midfielder

Right back

We also need a back up goalie and arguably a fourth striker, since Origi is young and Sturridge is injured. I'd be OK with a low cost option like Ings to make up the numbers. And Milner on a free would be decent business to add some experience and professionalism.

There will be striker and midfield options to choose from at clubs who will be in for Sterling, so this might be the way to go, depending on the options.
